Senior Manager - Brand Expedia: Trips Performance

Expedia Group is seeking a dynamic, motivated leader to join the Expedia Brands team as a Senior Manager - Brand Expedia: Trips Performance which focuses on Expedia Package and Attach lines of business.

This role will be responsible for identifying direction to optimize conversion, drive growth and deliver business results across Brand Expedia’s Package and Attach business. You and your team will monitor key business metrics, identify opportunities for funnel improvements, recommend investment priorities, and work across functional teams to action on opportunities to grow the business.

This will include providing performance insights, strategic recommendations and coordination across all the relevant contributing areas supporting the implementation of key business initiatives end to end. You will also support the Expedia Leadership Team by delivering comprehensive views on overall business performance and priorities focused on conversion opportunities. This requires a leader that is curious, fearless, and develop data-driven insights and indicators to shape strategy and actions to deliver results. You will need to build and maintain strong cross functional partnerships to ensure that the overall Trips business is well planned, understood, communicated, and effectively executed. The role will report directly to the Director, Trips for Expedia Brands.

In this role, you will:

  • Monitor and drive performance focused on the conversion funnel for the Package and Air-attach Business to deliver the annual financial plan for Expedia

  • Identify high impact initiatives, evaluate trade-offs, and lead/partner with cross functional teams across Expedia Group to enable execution for successful outcomes, e.g., improving optimizing every step of the conversion funnel to drive conversion growth, partner with Product Analytics and Product and Tech teams to address issues based on opportunities uncovered

  • Be a key stakeholder for the Trips lines of business financial performance and KPIs

  • Be a key member of an engaged and inspired team which monitors daily/weekly/monthly business performance, identifies risks and opportunities, and drives cross-functional working groups to deliver business unit KPIs

  • Collaborate closely with Product Analytics, Product & Tech, and Finance teams to build forward looking annual / 3-year strategic and operational plans   

Experience and Qualifications:

  • 8+ years for Bachelor's (Business Management, Economics, Finance) OR

  • 6+ years for Master's

  • Experience in business management, B2C ecommerce, B2C strategy, and P&L management experience 

  • Demonstrated ability to work across cross-functional teams (especially Product and Analytics), influence and align stakeholders to achieve successful business outcomes without direct organizational authority ultimately resulting in meeting targets and lead key work streams

  • Viewed as an impactful leader due to proven track record of developing data-driven processes and frameworks to enable actionable decision making 

  • Motivated by goal achievement and continuous improvement, with enthusiasm and strive to motivate your team and the wider organization 

  • Curious and passionate, with a desire to continuously learn more, which you use to understand business operations and the levers that drive profitable growth 

  • Collaborator: Work in close partnership and build effective relationships with peers and other cross functional stakeholders to deliver Expedia Group-maximizing outcomes 

  • Innovative and strategic thinker with demonstrated ability to work through ambiguity to solutions: prior experiences tackling vague problems, crisply framing the challenges, identifying a path forward, and driving execution to the finish-line 

  • Ability to succinctly synthesize complex problems with excellent written and oral communication skills 

  • Comfortable making recommendations across competing and equally critical business priorities 

The total cash range for this position in Seattle is $155,000.00 to $217,000.00. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $248,000.00, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.

Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
