POSITION OVERVIEW
As a Data Quality Team Lead, you will champion the integrity and reliability of our data assets, which are foundational to our strategic decision-making and to achieve the organization’s ambitions. In this role, you will forge alliances with interdisciplinary teams to navigate data-related challenges, instill rigorous quality standards, and guide our organization on a journey to advanced data maturity.
CHALLENGES TO BE MET
Develop and enforce bank-wide data quality standards, policies, and procedures.
Lead a team of data quality analysts (consultants) to identify, assess, and resolve data quality issues.
Collaborate with IT, business stakeholders, data owners and data stewards to ensure data quality requirements are met.
Monitor and report on data quality metrics, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
Manage the resolution of data quality issues in a timely and efficient manner.
Manage data quality projects, including data cleansing and enrichment initiatives.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements related to data quality and privacy.
Serve as the point of contact for data quality issues and escalations.
Provide training and support to improve data literacy across the organization.
Stay current with industry trends and developments in data quality management.
Drive continuous improvement in data management practices.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Bachelor’s degree or higher, preferably in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
3 to 5 years of relevant experience in data governance, data management, or data quality roles within the banking industry or a similar domain.
Proven leadership skills and the ability to manage cross-functional teams.
Demonstrated understanding of data management principles and practices.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify data quality challenges and develop effective solutions.
Experience with SQL and data analysis tools.
Familiarity with data quality tools and methodologies.
Excellent communication, teamwork, coordination, and consensus building skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and promote data governance awareness throughout the organization.
Proficient in both written and spoken English and French to facilitate communication within a bilingual work environment.
Strong understanding of industry recognized DG frameworks, e.g. DAMA, DCAM, TDWI’s DG.
