Job Description

Solution Management Executive, VP

The role is VP, Head of Commercial Loan Origination and Credit Assessment reporting to the SVP, Head of Commercial Lending within FIS’s overall lending business

Summary

Business line leader responsible for the overall end-to-end financial and operational results of the Commercial Loan Origination and Credit Assessment solutions within the Lending business unit of Capital Markets. Housed within the Solution Management organization, this role looks to provide business leadership over some of the most important business lines within the Lending organization. The Origination and Assessment businesses encompass a set of solutions, including Commercial Loan Origination, Credit Assessment and the associated ecosystem of integrated products and services. This position presents an exciting opportunity to both run an existing and market leading set of solutions and services while at the same time engage and accelerate deep strategic projects that are driving growth for the longer term. The VP for the solutions will need to be able to quickly integrate into the existing organization, partner with multiple functional and non-functional teams and is the ultimate decision maker for the cross-functional team.  The Solution Leader will need to actively participate in commercial and client facing engagements to drive a client focused agenda and pursue long term value creation. To do this, the Solution Leader will need to understand the current industry, business challenges, technical product needs and ensure any proposed ideas are deliverable against available budget and timelines. The Solution Leader will lead directly and indirectly a global team of 100 employees.

Responsibilities:

  • Goals and Cross-Functional Alignment
    • Overall responsibility to meet and/or exceed annual revenue targets across the entire portfolio of Product and Services.
    • Lead the cross-functional team in the creation of goals and OKRs that reflect all aspects of the solution, (e.g. revenue objectives, client delivery, Agile delivery and quality, operations and client satisfaction)
    • Decision maker for all cross-functional outcomes
  • Product Strategy & Investment Planning
    • Define long-term (3Y) strategic plan through thorough analysis of potential business cases that evaluate organic and inorganic growth opportunities.  Define business initiatives that need to be properly analysed, evaluated, approved, and funded through detailed business case reviews.
    • Syndicate product strategy with relevant teams in Corporate Strategy, Sales, Finance, and other functional groups and define plan to meets short- and long-term expectations within the overall organization.
    • External product representative to key industry participants that include vendors, other technology providers and regulators.
    • Overall responsibility for annual budget submissions, monitoring, and reporting through AHA! System
    • Define build/buy/partner approach for solutions and build pipeline of candidates for partnerships & M&A
  • Go-to-Market Planning
    • Responsible for overall TAM analysis for each individual initiative and for the identification of potential target clients that can then be shared with Sales and GTM team.
    • In partnership with GTM and Marketing resources, responsible for putting together specific marketing campaigns and prioritization of overall budget across all new initiatives.
    • Contribute thought leadership to events and press
  • Commercial Management & Sales Interlock
    • Responsible for developing, maintaining, and partnering with Commercial Management on price list for individual products, services, and overall solution.
    • Partner and align with Sales to interlock on an annual sales plan to achieve goals aligned to OKRs and the long-range plan.  Work closely with Sales and Commercial Management for ongoing pipeline coverage and deal review.
    • Participate in ongoing deal review to ensure alignment to strategy and acting as decision maker around pricing, structure, and approach on key deals
  • Client Focus
    • Working with Cross-Functional Enterprise Agility team, responsible for all BAU and PS deliveries to ensure successful delivery of client implementation projects and ongoing services (including production delivery, stability, and client upgrade strategies)
    • Works with functional teams to identify ways to accelerate delivery times and ensures that sufficient funds are allocated in the budget to deliver appropriate improvements and results.
    • Natural escalation point for client issues across existing product solutions; works with team to successfully address external client requirements through the proactive coordination across multiple internal groups.
    • Responsible for ongoing client satisfaction, client referenceability, and managing client attrition
    • Accountable for all Operational client activities including billing, concessions,  collections, outages, and escalations
    • Works to gather ongoing feedback from clients to drive future roadmap initiatives and align with key deliverables.
  • Oversight of Major Product Deliveries
    • Oversees the Value Stream teams accountable for building their product roadmap, and delivery and modernization plans
    • Works with Value Streams to establish regular governance tracking meetings to ensure progress is being done in line with strategy, business cases and budget planning through the adequate review of business and technology KPIs.
    • Responsible for converting Value Stream tracking information and maintaining an internal and external facing roadmap; responsible for ingoing communication of the roadmap and for ensuring clients are aware of any product enhancement that is delivered.

  • Strong understanding of Commercial Lending financing principles and role in the overall Commercial Lending value chain.
  • Experience with digital assets and AI, cloud and advanced data analytics a plus.


FIS is committed to providing its employees with an exciting career opportunity and competitive compensation. The pay range for this full-time position is $192,430.00 - $323,300.00 and reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position based on the posted role, level, and location. Within the range, actual individual starting pay is determined additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Any changes in work location will also impact actual individual starting pay.
