Position Overview: 

The Brunswick Financial Leadership Development Program (FLDP) offers you the unique opportunity to accelerate your career development through a two-year rotational program, that consists of both on-the-job and formal training experiences.  Your career is what you make of it, and the same goes for Brunswick's Financial Leadership Development ProgramThe program is designed to provide you with the technical, business, and leadership skills necessary to be successful throughout your career. The goal of the program upon completion is a transition into a full-time finance-related position within the business, contingent on business needs and the skills and experience you demonstrate throughout the program. The program has a proven track record of placing individuals into roles of increasing responsibility, and excellent exposure to senior leaders early in their career 

 

Participants will rotate to new assignments within Brunswick every six months to one year, gaining experience across multiple Finance functions and business environmentsYou will spend one twelve-month assignment at a manufacturing or division location and two six-month assignments at Corporate HeadquartersThese assignments include, but are not limited to: General Accounting, Financial Planning & Analysis, Manufacturing & Product Cost Accounting, Treasury, Financial Reporting, Mergers & Acquisitions, and Internal AuditSuccessful candidates will be expected to develop a strong foundation of financial acumen while contributing to the Company’s performance based on assigned job responsibilities.   

 

Professional Development 

 

TrainingIn addition to onboarding and training on-the-job, the Financial Leadership Development Program includes training that involves several modules on Brunswick’s finance-related functions in addition to on-site visits to our divisions with the intent of building both your financial acumen and leadership capabilitiesYou will also be exposed to leaders within the organization during these training sessions 

 

Networking and Exposure – You will grow, build, and enhance your network as you contribute to the organizationLasting and positive working relationships will allow you to progress in your career in Brunswick. 

 

Mentorship – The program offers leader mentoring opportunities to further develop your growth and navigate the organizationMentorship consists of formal and informal coaching and feedback.

  • Review and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial performance for Brunswick business units; determine key drivers impacting Company P&Ls, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow 

  • Summarize results and provide insight into Corporate and business unit performance for Brunswick’s Senior Management team, including: 

  • Prepare reports on actual vs. forecast variances including analysis to support forecast spending 

  • Prepare presentation material and supporting documentation for use in communication with Executive Leadership 

  • Leverage technology, including Power BI, AI, Oracle and other tools, to drive improved visibility and efficiency of reporting 

  • Analyze and evaluate major capital requests, supporting the executive team’s review of the projects 

  • Provide ad hoc analysis and assist with special projects as needed 

 

Diversity of thought and experiences is fundamental when imagining the unimaginable. Certain skill sets/experiences are necessary; however, others can be developed along the way.  

Required Qualifications:  

  • Currently enrolled or graduate of an AACSB-accredited university working towards a bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance or Business-Related field 

  • GPA of 3.3 or higher 

  • Willingness and ability to relocate (Mettawa, IL, Menomonee Falls, WI, Fond du Lac, WI, Edgewater, FL, Knoxville, TN – locations subject to modification) 

  • To be considered for this position, candidates must have permanent US Work authorization 

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • 1 year of relevant accounting/finance work experience including internship or co-op with a degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business-Related field 

  • CPA, CMA, or other professional licenses a plus 

  • Experience with Oracle Enterprise Performance Management or other similar ERP, financial consolidation, and reporting applications a plus 

  • Experience with Power BI a plus 

  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft applications 

 

  • Willingness to work in a hybrid environment (where applicable)        

  • Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills 

  • Must be able to work independently, be a self-starter, and take proactive approaches to assigned tasks 

  • Express the ability to quickly understand, decipher, and communicate relevant information from a larger data set 

  • Ability to work flexible hours as needed, including extended hours during critical reporting periods 

  • Must possess proficiency in accounting, financial and business analysis, and financial modeling 

  • Robust interpersonal and communication skills; able to collaborate with all levels of Company leadership 

  • Flexible and organized to manage several concurrent initiatives
