What you'll do...

Position: Software Engineer III

Job Location: 860 W. California Avenue, Sunnyvale, CA 94086

Duties: Design and deliver readable, maintainable, testable, scalable, reusable, and efficient code. Work in an Agile team with engineers, designers, and product managers to solve problems. Recommend design improvements. Collaborate with backend teams to design effective and understandable APIs. Follow established architecture patterns and suggest improvements. Implement new features according to specifications. Investigate and fix bugs. Build unit and User Interface (UI) tests. Learn and implement the latest technologies. Mentor fellow engineers. Participate in on-call rotations to help support team solve problems for customers. Participate in code reviews for internal and external contributions. Investigate and fix software defects. Assure app stability and code coverage by writing Unit and Functional tests. Design and maintain modules used by US and international teams. Document features implemented. Contribute to the team's understanding of CI/CD process and help move PRs along the pipeline. Collaborate with platform team members across web, iOS and Android to align on solutions across platforms. Support business objectives by collaborating with business partners to identify opportunities and address high-priority initiatives. Utilize industry open-source research, tools, and practices to improve Walmart technology environment.

Minimum education and experience required: Master’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering (any), or a related field. Position does not require specific years of experience but requires listed skills.

Skills required: Experience designing and building web application using React.js. Experience writing integration tests, unit tests, and functional tests with React Testing Library and TestCafe. Experience testing and troubleshooting using Splunk. Experience handling network requests with GraphQL. Experience with Test Driven Development using Jest. Experience with User Interface (UI) development technologies including CSS, HTML, and JavaScript. Experience with accessibility implementation using TypeScript and HTML. Experience with CI/CD tool Jenkins. Experience with code management tool Git. Employer will accept any amount of professional experience with the required skills.

Salary Range: $150,762/year to $234,000/year. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives.   Additional compensation for certain positions may also include: Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location) and Stock equity incentives.
