By joining the Communications Business within Ultra I&C, your unique talents will be pivotal in shaping global communication for our dedicated warfighters. Your contributions will create cutting-edge solutions that enable precise, timely, and secure exchange of voice, video, and data communications for military applications. These advancements leverage high-capacity tactical radio, advanced waveforms, and state-of-the-art satellite communications technology. 

The Prototype Wire Person shall be responsible for the day-to-day Electro-Mechanical Assembly. Building sub-assemblies and complete systems to drawings and build procedures within Ultra Communications. Continuously monitor product quality during build to improve upon production performance targets.

Working within a small team to produce high quality satellite communications equipment to required standards and timescales

• Panel wiring
• Cabling assembly and crimping
• Rack Wiring
• PCB Assembly
• Assembly and re-work of components
• Wiring test boxes
• Soldering, Through Hole, Surface mount components
• Manage security of information as defined in the Information Security Policy.

Essential Skills:

• Experience of electrical /mechanical assembly and wiring, including prototype wiring.
• You take pride in attention to detail, maintain high standards and can work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to read Electrical / Mechanical drawings and work accurately to procedures.
• Creative thinker and eager learner
• Ability to obtain and maintain appropriate security clearance.
