Responsible for ensuring that our cloud applications, services, and infrastructures are designed, implemented, and operated with best practice security measures. The candidate will work closely with other developers, ISRM staff, and operational teams to integrate security into all phases of the software development lifecycle and cloud deployment processes.

About You:

  • B.Sc./M.Sc. Degree in Software Engineering or Computer Science
  • +10 years of relevant experience in cloud security architecture (preferred Azure)
  • Demonstrate advanced knowledge in secure application development frameworks and languages such as C#/.NET and Python, ensuring code is resistant to common exploits.
  • Expert in secure authentication and authorization mechanisms, applying OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, SAML, and JWT
  • Comprehensive knowledge of network security concepts, including segmentation, zero-trust models, VPNs, and secure tunneling protocols to safeguard internal and external communications.
  • Design and implement security-focused APIs, using best practices such as rate limiting, proper HTTP method use, and input validation to mitigate risks associated with API abuse.
  • Helps explore and bring new systems to operational status, applying new technologies and approaches in innovative ways. 
  • Stays at the forefront of security research, understanding the implications of quantum computing on cryptography and exploring advancements in AI/ML for threat detection and response.
  • Anticipates customer needs to influence the development of innovative security solutions
  • Leverages important relationships with key internal or external customers to create a broad acceptance for ideas and initiatives
  • Demonstrates a great degree of ingenuity, creativity and resourcefulness


About the Role:

  • Influences software development engineer teams in their area and may influence engineering teams across multiple domains
    Supports strategies for cross-functional teams in their area to execute complex initiatives
    Help strengthens organization wide engineering culture through behavior, leadership, coaching, mentorship, sharing knowledge, etc.
    Provides specialist advice to middle & senior leadership on complex issues, and technical mentorship and coaching to Senior and Lead engineers.
    Seen as a technical role model and leader in their space and has an external presence.
  • Design and develop secure architectures for cloud-based applications and platforms.
  • Lead the design and deployment of security projects from inception to completion with minimal guidance and in accordance to TR policies and industry best practices.
  • Collaborate with IT and development teams to ensure compliance with regulatory and certification requirements (such as GDPR, SOC2, HIPAA, ISO 27001, etc.).
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of the product's disaster recovery and business continuity strategies for cloud environments.
  • Conduct advanced threat modeling exercises using methodologies like STRIDE or PASTA to anticipate and mitigate potential attack vectors proactively.
  • Integrate security into microservices architectures and serverless computing patterns, ensuring that each discrete component adheres to security best practices.
  • Manage secure data storage and transmission by implementing database security mechanisms like field-level encryption, database firewalls, and ORM security controls to protect sensitive data.
  • Facilitate and respond to security incidents with an in-depth understanding of digital forensics, incident management frameworks, logging and anomaly detection.
