Summary: As a Data Modeler, you will be responsible for working with key business representatives, data owners, end users, application designers, and data architects to model current and new data. Your typical day will involve utilizing your expertise in data modeling techniques and methodologies to design and implement effective data models. Roles & Responsibilities: - Design and implement effective data models using data modeling techniques and methodologies. - Collaborate with key business representatives, data owners, end users, application designers, and data architects to model current and new data. - Ensure data models are optimized for performance, scalability, and maintainability. - Develop and maintain data dictionaries, data flow diagrams, and other documentation related to data modeling. - Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in data modeling and database design. Professional & Technical Skills: - Must To Have Skills: Expertise in data modeling techniques and methodologies. - Good To Have Skills: Experience with database design and development, SQL, and data warehousing. - Strong understanding of data modeling concepts such as normalization, denormalization, and dimensional modeling. - Experience with data modeling tools such as ERwin, ER/Studio, or PowerDesigner. - Experience with data modeling for both transactional and analytical systems. - Solid grasp of database design and development concepts such as indexing, partitioning, and query optimization. Additional Information: - The candidate should have a minimum of 5 years of experience in data modeling techniques and methodologies. - The ideal candidate will possess a strong educational background in computer science, information systems, or a related field, along with a proven track record of delivering effective data models. - This position is based at our Bengaluru office.
