Position Summary:

The Human Resources Coordinator works closely with the Manager Human Resources to provide support to Human Resources at the KFC Yum! Center and other ASM Louisville facilities in areas such as recruiting, payroll processing, employee file maintenance, training, and other various projects and initiatives.

Essential Functions:

  • Schedules phone screens and in-person interviews and coordinates background checks and drug screens so that eligible candidates are hired within company guidelines.
  • Manages sick/vacation time in order to accurately track and communicate available balances to employees.  Responsible for generating and maintaining documentation, such as new hire paperwork, in order to process payroll timely and accurately.
  • Assists with questions/issues regarding payroll, benefits, and HR process and procedures in order to provide support to employees.
  • Organizes employee data, I-9 records, drug/background screening results, and leave of absence data in order to properly maintain confidentiality of employee files and related record keeping.
  • Operates the phone system in order to effectively respond to callers in the absence of the Receptionist.
  • Processes verification of employment in order to respond to employers and other outside parties requesting information while abiding by company policy.
  • Responsible for the integrity, security, and confidentiality of employee data including ensuring compliance of all documents and administering record retention and purging of personnel files.
  • Assists with the scheduling and tracking of training so that employees remain up to date on all policies and procedures.  Conducts new hire orientation for part-time employees in order to introduce company policies and expectations.
  • Assists with special projects and performs other duties as directed.
  • Provides support to the Manager, Human Resources in order to assist with the annual performance evaluation process.

Required Qualifications:

  • A minimum education level of High School Diploma or its equivalency
  • A minimum of 2-4 years of related work experience
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills
  • Highly organized
  • Maintain a high level of integrity and confidentiality when working with sensitive employee data
  • Must be able to multitask while meeting tight deadlines
  • Excellent administrative and interpersonal skills
  • Must be attentive to details with focus on accuracy
