Pfizer Singapore is recruiting permanent employees for manufacturing site expansion of PFIZER ASIA MANUFACTURING PTE LTD (PAMPL) in Singapore

POSITION SUMMARY

To be responsible for the end-to-end Inventory accounting and reporting process for Tuas site to operate more effectively and efficiently and meet its inventory metrics. As a value-added contribution towards the management, this position will support inventory analysis and impact of volume scenarios during the budgeting/LRP processes.

To manage the monthly closing activities and reportings related to spending by site and project cost center owners. To drive the spend budget/forecast exercise to support the management for business decision making and uphold an ethical conduct with regards to financial accounting/reporting in compliance with applicable GAAP, laws and regulations.

Must possess a good understanding of lease accounting GAAP to support the company’s accounting and reporting of lease contracts.

Key accountabilities:

To ensure accurate analysis and reporting for inventory and budget/forecast spending to support the management in business decision-making/performance metrics; to maintain a strong internal control practices.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop a good understanding of the operations to provide value-added financial analyses to site Leadership Team/management, and facilitate decision-making that will support the attainment of site financial inventory targets (e.g. MOH or Inventory level).
  • Lead and participate in the development of the annual operating plan/forecasts and liaise as appropriate with other Finance/Supply Chain colleagues to prepare the Site Inventory submissions to PGS Finance.
  • Be the SME with a clear understanding of the end-to-end inventory process, who can advise on the financial impact of changes to site manufacturing and supply plans.
  • Possess independent thinking and excellent organizational & analytical skills to support the Finance Manager on all internal and external financial reporting activities (monthly, quarterly and yearly).  These are :

    • Prepare Balance Sheet and P&L Analysis for review by Finance Manager/Director
    • Perform variance analysis (including trend charts) in relation to forecast and budget for department management review.
    • Support departments on financial advisory services (e.g. Energy spending analysis; variable overheads analysis
    • Diligent follow up and support on intercompany allocation IN/OUT charges to ensure accuracy
    • Prepare management reports and presentation slides (e.g. financial review meeting) and survey submissions to statutory bodies
    • Liaise with Lease CoE  on lease accounting entries and reporting.
  • Be a proactive finance representative to the assigned functional department and on cross-functional teams.
  • Ensure strong internal control practices in areas of responsibilities.

EDUCATION

Professional qualification in Accountancy or equivalent.

EXPERIENCE 

  • Minimum 3 years relevant experience in a MNC environment with equivalent position held.
  • Good understanding in Inventory Accounting & Internal control concepts
  • Good financial analytical skills.
  • Accuracy and timeliness of reporting for business decision
  • Proficiency in software and reporting tools to reduce time and effort spent on preparation of reports
