Compliance Training Programme Director
 

Location: UK, GSK HQ, London / USA, Philadelphia or Durham

This role will lead the Global Annual Training to all employees and relevant Complementary Workers, in support of the Internal Control Framework (ICF), GSK’s standard methodology for managing risk.  This role is a great opportunity to stretch understanding of GSK Global business, internal and external risk landscape, and to be visible to Global leaders in delivering a key enterprise priority, annually.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, deployment, sustainment, and internal / external reporting of Global Living our Code training.  The candidate will be working across a matrix of Compliance and Enterprise Leaders to integrate Culture priorities, regulatory expectations, and relevant Enterprise Risk themes. When done successfully, this role will significantly and positively impact GSK’s culture, external reputation and corporate responsibility.
 


Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
 

  • Strategic design, senior leader endorsement, and seamless implementation of annual Global Living our Code training, with reference to industry best practice, regulatory requirements, and Enterprise Risk priorities

  • Continuously improve and standardize training experience and resources to be applicable and value adding to different functions, locations, and levels of management within GSK

  • Advanced project management and operational rigor to manage and drive performance without authority across a matrix team, as well as to deliver external reporting expectations and supporting controls.  Prioritization, agile decision making, and clear and timely communication (and where needed, escalation) are essential.  

  • Supplier and matrix performance oversight to deliver timely against varied accountabilities.

  • Learning design and delivery through an LMS, including content strategy, innovative adult learning principles, impact measures, communication planning, and end to end operations

  • Global program delivery, including successful Senior Leader engagement and influence, reflection of organizational strategic priorities, country and market cultural awareness, within firm deadlines.

  • Understanding the regulatory environment and Enterprise Risk Management

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Life Sciences, Business, Law or a related field.

  • Extensive years in industry with several years of demonstrated leadership and influence.

  • High degree of organizational awareness; demonstrated ability to develop solutions to complex problems, deliver complex projects.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including presentations to large and small audiences and senior executives.

  • Ability to deliver to demanding deadlines whilst maintaining the highest quality.

  • A strong sense of initiative, urgency, drive, pragmatism, and judgement – an ability to make things happen.

  • People leadership, vendor oversight experience.

  • Knowledge and understanding of risk management.

  • Strong understanding of the use of data analytics.

  • Awareness of audit, controls and risk management processes.

  • Curiosity to experiment with innovation, including AI, learning modalities.


Preferred Qualifications:

If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:

  • Masters or MBA

  • Business Acumen - understands implications of decisions from a broad business perspective and uses this knowledge to influence decision-making

  • Proven ability to drive process improvement in a matrix environment    

  • Ability to deliver to demanding deadlines whilst maintaining the highest quality
