Reporting to the Plant Quality Manager at our Henning, IL manufacturing facility, local producers of PAM non-stick cooking spray, you will implement programs within the functional area of the FSQRA group. You will help us design and implement all relevant Quality and Food Safety procedures.

How Will You Make an Impact?

  • Participate on teams to assure implementation and adherence of FSQRA programs and process improvement of our suppliers.
  • Conduct quality and food safety audits as part of a team at Conagra suppliers and contract manufacturers.
  • Implement appropriate inspection criteria to determine degree of compliance.
  • Escalates observations to management for quality improvement.
  • Knowledge of GFSI Benchmarked Schemes (namely SQF and BRC), GMP's, Sanitation, Pest Control, Food Safety and HACCP systems, Training, Allergens, and applicable programs/regulations.
  • Help confirm Food Safety Plans (HACCP) are current, relevant, and performed to meet Conagra standards, regulatory requirements (FDA and USDA), and prevent adulteration of product.
  • Gather data to understand trends and issues to make decisions related to product safety and quality in areas of assigned responsibility.
  • Provide technical support and analyze data in managing situations and issues relative to quality and food safety.
  • Provide technical support to appropriate functions and employees to assure regulatory compliance, food safety and quality of our products.
  • Communicate with company facilities to build an ongoing relationship with packaging material suppliers.

Do You Have What it Takes?

  • BS in Food, Biological or Chemical Science or related field
  • 3+ years industry experience.
  • Knowledge of food safety and quality systems and manufacturing processes, technologies
  • Familiarity in using continuous improvement tools (SPC, Capability Studies) and fundamentals.
  • Knowledge of government regulatory requirements in food packaging (GFSI, FSMA, FDA, and USDA)
