As an I-9 Coordinator, you’ll contribute to our success in the following ways:

  • Utilize E-Verify as required by law to verify employment eligibility for newly hired employees.
  • Ensure that new employees complete Section 1 of Form I-9 on or before their first day of work.
  • Complete Section 2 of Form I-9 by reviewing the employee’s documents to verify their identity and employment authorization within three business days of the employee’s start date.
  • Manage updates to existing I-9 forms for active employees undergoing name changes due to marriage, divorce, or legal reasons.
  • Manage the verification and completion of updated Form I-9 for rehired employees as per federal regulations and E-Verify requirements.
  • Verify that the documents presented by the employee are original, unexpired, and appear to be genuine and related to the employee.
  • Ensure that forms are retained for the required period (three years after the date of hire or one year after the date employment ends, whichever is later).
  • Conduct regular audits of Form I-9 and E-Verify records to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Performs other duties/projects as assigned.

What is Required?

  • High School Diploma/GED is required.
  • 1+ year of Human Resources experience is preferred
  • Experience using Electronic I-9 Verification Systems or HRIS platforms preferred
  • Bilingual English and Spanish is preferred

You will report to the Shared Services Supervisor.
