We are currently looking for a Senior Director, Security Technology Strategists, North America to join our Cyber Security Sales team. Citrix (now part of Cloud Software Group) is significantly expanding focus on security solutions this position is a part of our increased investment as our Security products continue to expand.

In 2024, we’ve announced the Citrix Platform which brings a unified approach to the digital workplace across End User Computing, Infrastructure, Security, and Networking. The Platform combines Citrix Virtualization and Desktop with NetScaler App Delivery and Security solutions featuring Citrix Enterprise Browser and Secure Private Access.

 

About the Role:

Citrix solutions are in use at nearly every large company on the planet. We enjoy trusted relationships within IT Infrastructure, Networking, and End User Computing teams.  The objective of this role is to work with the VP of Security Sales, and the account teams, to grow our security pipeline and gain adoption of Citrix Security products in the installed account base.  The Director of Security Technology Strategists will recruit and lead a team of Security technical security experts who will work with existing account teams to expand relationships and mindshare with our customers’ cyber security teams.

 

The Security Technology Strategist team is a vital security resource for customers, partners, and fellow team members working together to solve business problems for the world’s largest companies. They use their extensive cyber security experience to collaborate with customers to improve their existing security posture using Citrix’s platform. They will establish themselves as thought leaders in the ecosystem as a result of the experience gained finding use cases and solving customer problems.

 

The Director will oversee the customer team’s security journey from problem discovery through solution development and implementation. This includes guiding product development to implement customer requested enhancements throughout the customer’s journey.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Recruit, lead and retain a team of technical security professionals who will work closely with Citrix go to market field teams, customers, and partners to drive mindshare and adoption of Citrix security solutions including but not limited to Enterprise Browser and Secure Private Access

  • Develop and validate adoption of best practices based on experiences with customer presales and product implementations 

  • Collaborate with senior leadership in product management and product development to influence product direction based on customer needs and experience with sales motions

  • Discuss security concerns and potential solutions clearly and concisely to audiences with varying levels of technical expertise from CISO to hands-on security practitioners

  • Collaborate internally to develop and refine effective product sales messaging

  • Attend industry events, be able to deliver compelling presentations on why Citrix Security

  • Provide security-focused guidance and strategy to sales and pre-sales teams 

  • Monitor and coach the team on positioning strategies, presentations, demos, and POCs

  • Coordinate cross-functional teams and resources to ensure customer success

  • Keep abreast of latest security strategies to inform and guide customers while shaping product requirements

  • Contribute to the broader technical sales team’s success with the Citrix Platform and adoption of Citrix security solutions

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of leading technical teams in a sales-focused capacity

  • 15+ years supporting or delivering enterprise cybersecurity solutions

  • At least one current major Security Certification (e.g. CISSP, HCISPP, CISM, CCSP)

  • Familiarity with application security, browser security, IAM, and ZTNA

  • 2+ years in professional technical content creation (e.g. technical marketing, courseware developer, lab writer, blog writer, technical video production).

  • Comprehensive understanding of the security buyer’s challenges and priorities related to a broad range of cybersecurity solutions

  • Ability to adapt and deliver technical presentations to audiences with varying levels of technical expertise (e.g. IT administrators, directors, business stakeholders, and executives)

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to travel to customer sites, corporate offices, and events

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science (or related field) or relevant work experience

  • Proven record of success in driving customer adoption of cybersecurity solutions

  • Working knowledge and experience with several of the following technologies: web application security, networking, enterprise firewalls, VPN, enterprise browser, remote access, Zero Trust, Identity Access Management (IAM), web proxy, role-based access control (RBAC), virtual desktops (e.g. VDI, DaaS, ideally Citrix), application delivery - ideally Netscaler, virtual applications, server virtualization, endpoint management (e.g. MDM, MAM), observability, and/or security analytics solutions

  • Experience with Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services, and Google Cloud Platform

  • Understanding of cloud security standards such as NIST, CIS, CSA, etc.

Compensation may vary depending on your location, qualifications including job-related education, training, experience, licensure, and certification, that could result at a level outside of these ranges. Certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including annual bonus, and sales incentives depending on the terms of the applicable plan and role as well as individual performance. NYC generally ranges; $248,610-$310,763 CA generally ranges; $259,419-$324,274 All other locations fall under our General State range; $216,183-$270,229 Benefits may vary depending on the nature of your employment with Cloud Software Group and the country where you work.
