What You'll Do:
Review, extract and analyze data to be used in formulation of procedures, processes and other requirements, including data integrity and quality control. Provide reports of relevant activity to be used to identify problematic areas and data anomalies, in order to provide basis for modification and/or elimination of operations issues. Revise existing reports and develop new reports based on changing methodologies. Analyze reports to ensure accuracy and quality. Track and verify all reporting statistics and/or metrics.
Develop complex analysis and sophisticated data compilation, verification, and interpretations to guide divisional efforts. Create data tools used to identify/modify pertinent data needed to provide supporting documentation for system or operational regulatory reporting.
Communicate with and/or train employees and managers on the complex database programs used to generate analytical data. Document reporting procedures so other staff can run ad hoc reports independently. Design, code, and maintain complex database programs for the extraction and analysis of data to support financial and operational decisions.
Monitor data for compliance with all applicable regulations and communicates and updates data as necessary. Provide assistance throughout internal and external audits.
To Qualify for This Position, You'll Need:
Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Business, Healthcare, OR other related field
OR a 2-year degree in Computer Science, Business or related field and (2) two years of reporting and data analysis work experience
OR Four (4) years reporting and data analysis experience.
Six (6) Years Research and analysis experience.
Strong organizational, customer service, communications, and analytical skills.
Advanced experience using complex mathematical calculations and understand mathematical and statistical concepts.
Knowledge of relevant computer support systems.
Ability to train subordinate staff including provide assistance/guidance to staff in design/execution of reporting needs.
Proven experience with report writing and technical requirements analysis, data and business process modeling/mapping, and methodology development.
Strong understanding of relational database structures, theories, principles, and practices.
Knowledge of the healthcare delivery system.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Knowledge of programming languages across various software platforms, using DB2, SQL, and/or relational databases.
Knowledge of tools such as Visual Basic and Macros useful in automating reporting processes.
We Prefer You Have:
Eight (8) years research and analysis experience.
Knowledge of CPT/HCPCS coding.
Familiarity with Medicare reimbursement methodologies.
Negotiation or persuasion skills.
SAS experience.
