General Description:

The Total Rewards Analyst Level II is responsible for supporting the planning, design and administration for incentive compensation and bonus programs and processes, base pay compensation programs, market analysis, regulatory compliance, HRIS accuracy and data integrity. Engages, partners, and collaborates with a cross-functional Total Rewards peers and Total Rewards Leadership team to ensure effectiveness of compensation and benefit programs. Assists Total Rewards Leadership in assessing reporting needs and delivering analytics dashboards, as well as responding to ad-hoc report requests. Position reports to Adm, Compensation Director.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Support:  Compensation and Project Management

  • Evaluates and monitors compensation practices to ensure market competitiveness, and consistency with the compensation philosophy. Support the development and administration of organizational compensation philosophy throughout OU Health, inclusive of design, market analysis, and policy documentation.
  • Partner with the Director of Compensation and Director of Benefits to evaluate the performance and cost of Total Rewards programs that drive performance, encourage desired outcomes and are scalable for the organization.
  • Conduct annual compensation and benefits benchmarking cycles; analyze and assess market data, industry trends, and best practices to create market competitive programs. Develop and adjust salary ranges as required.
  • Supports the modeling and validation of its feasibility for salary planning initiatives.
  • Recommend job classifications and manage consistent practice across entire population to ensure compensation practices are in compliance with current regulations in all markets.
  • Completes complex analytical functions, such as, but not limited to: macros, data.
  • validation/conditioning and other analytical analysis in order to find solutions to meet business needs across the continuum of enterprise compensation and benefits analysis.
  • Effectively communicates findings and recommendations on various recommendations through the use of presentation materials and detailed analysis.
  • Designs and recommends compensation programs/strategy such as variable pay or other innovations to assist in staff retention or other management goals. Recommends policy updates as needed.
  • Prepares various formal pay program calculations including quarterly/annual bonus or incentives payments, and cost impact analysis.
  • Drafts all management and staff member communication related to compensation plans and ensures all approved pay program changes are implemented in a timely manner.
  • Conducts job audits, and analyzes, describes and evaluates positions to produce descriptions and recommend grades consistent with evaluation procedures.
  • Counsels HRBP’s and HR Leaders on variable/fixed compensation pay administration, promotional and merit increase guidelines, and all other salary-related issues.

HRIS / Systems (Compensation and Benefits)

  • In partnership with Total Rewards Leadership, maintain HRIS set-up and structure inclusive of review of access permissions, workflow, and table maintenance.
  • Partners with Payroll in the general oversight and governance; manage and maintain controls and processes to ensure data integrity.
  • Develop and ensure routine system and data audits are conducted.
  • Work with Director of Compensation and Director of Benefits in assessing reporting needs and delivering analytics dashboard, as well as respond to ad-hoc report requests.
  • Collaborate across HR team to ensure maximum effectiveness and connectivity between systems that support Applicant Tracking, Onboarding, Performance Management and other key systems throughout the organization.
  • Responsible for performing a variety of highly responsible technical and analytical activities in support of Total Rewards, and other related business systems, data and decision needs.
  • Identify and design system and process improvements, reports, and reporting tools to support organizational, HR, and data compliance needs. Build, implement and evaluate workforce analytics, dashboards, import procedures, and reporting insights that results in well-informed human resource decisions across the organization.
  • Continuous evaluation of tools & technologies to ensure and support maximum efficiency across the organization.
  • Support M&A due diligence and post M&A integration efforts as required.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Math, Finance, Computer Science, Statistics or related discipline.

Experience: Three (3) years of progressive responsible total rewards (compensation and benefits) experience working with variable and fixed compensation and benefit plans including 1 year of data reporting and analytics experience. Workday experience preferred.

License(s)/Certification(s)/Registration(s) required:  None required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Proven ability to measure effectiveness of compensation programs (advanced mathematical and modeling skills)
  • Extensive knowledge of federal and multi-state employment regulations (FLSA, EEOC and DOL) conjunction with related reporting and compliance (EEOC, ACA, etc.) requirements.
  • Experience participating & utilizing a variety of Salary surveys & tools; MarketPay survey experiences a plus.
  • Intermediate Excel skills.
  • Knowledge of compensation and benefits principles including use of market surveys and data analysis.
  • Knowledge of basic human resources laws and regulations including, but not limited to the Equal Pay Act, the Lilly Ledbetter Act, and FLSA regulations.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel to include pivot tables, v-lookup and advanced formulas.
  • Strong critical thinking and analytical skills with ability to analyze complex problems and devise viable solutions.
  • Asana or other project management software preferred.
  • Excellent mathematical skills and ability to devise formulas which facilitate analysis of data.
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret documents such as policy and procedure manuals.
