What You Will Achieve 

You will have a key role to play in an organization that has people at its heart. You will be responsible for developing leaders, organizations and culture by supporting leaders as well as delivering and improving HR processes and programs through continuous improvement efforts, technology solutions and direct coaching. You will guide  execution of new and/or annual programs, such as performance management, employee relations, training and talent development etc. You will provide the necessary tools and processes to assist managers to better manage their workforce and drive behavior for colleagues to be self-sufficient. 

As a Senior Manager, you will be setting the objectives for multiple projects. Your managerial and technical skills will help in guiding the people in your client division. Your understanding of the external marketplace and customer requirements will facilitate in instituting knowledge sharing practices in your team and outside. You will be relied on to manage operational activities that support the goals of the division and sets direction for its success. 

Through your expertise and extensive knowledge, you will be able to foster a culture that promotes innovation and thrives on doing better for patients and healthcare. 

How You Will Achieve It 

  • Develop innovative, advanced and feasible concepts, practices and programs that help to grow people, organization and culture. 

  • Support to develop motivated, committed and engaged team in the client Funciton that fosters innovation and help organizaiton's growth. 

  • Play an advisory role in supporting leaders to anchor key initiatives in the areas of culture building, career and talent architecture and capability transformation. 

  • Coach business leaders to build high performing teams to ensure effectiveness and delivery of business objectives.

  • Work closely with leaders across People Experience function, business and other key leadership role in Japan as well as globally to develop and execute the People Experience strategy. 

  • Continue to challenge convention, embrace uncertainty, focus on progress over perfection and engage with compassion and agile mindset.

  • Manage multiple projects within a division or in a Corporate-wide initiatives.

  • Provide support with Transformation, Mergers, Acquisitions, Divestitures and Restructurings.

  • Ensures high standards of compliance to norms, policies and procedure.

  • Drive execution of annual and daily processes and provide timely and effective coaching to managers on People Experience processes and programs. 

  • Stay current with innovative HR practices and informed on best-in class people and organization management.

  • Provide leaders coaching on HR systems and processes with an emphasis on supporting managers to become self-sufficient in utilizing tools.

  • Help driving labor relations strategy as well as tactical plans with the intent of creating a harmonious and productive employee relations environment. 

Qualifications 

Must-Have 

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 7+ years of experience. 

  • Experience in leading organizations through significant change. 

  • Experience in creatingand implementing standard HR process. 

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in Japanese and English

  • Advanced Microsoft Office suite skills and strong competency with tools.

Preferred 

  • HR management experience in the field of HR Business Partner, talent/organization development, compensation & benefits and/or recruiting. (strongly preferred)

  • Working experience in the global environment whether outside or in Japan

  • People management experience

  • Change management skill

  • Master’s degree and relevant pharmaceutical experience. 

  • Know-how for/agility to learn HR platforms and technology. 

  • Experience working with works councils/labor unions. 

  • Consultative, facilitation, coaching and engagement capabilities.
