Join us as our new Scientific Data Engineer and Software Developer

We are looking for two passionate data engineers/software developers to strengthen our team. The purpose of our team is to transform the way we carry out our scientific processes, through digitalization, to maximize the value we bring to our customers. The team specifically supports the applied R&D and technical service functions in Food & Beverages Biosolutions. The digital solutions we build are integral to maximizing the quality and efficiency of the research activities in FBB.

Welcome to Digitalization in Food & Beverages Biosolutions Applied Research

You will be part of a very diverse team, based in Denmark and France, with profiles including data scientists, digital specialists with an R&D background, and digital transformation partners. As part of our agile setup, you will be able to influence your tasks and your daily work through your input and thoughts on the goals for our digital transformation.

To join our high performing team, we are looking for few core characteristics:

  • First and foremost, you are a team player, you thrive working closely with your team members

  • You thrive in a matrix organization where collaboration and communication across the globe, and different seniority levels and roles is a natural part of your daily job

Across the two positions we are looking for the following technical skills to complement our team:

  • Software development experience, our software is primarily based on Python but we also use R for specific usecases

  • Frontend development, Novonesis primarily uses the React framework

  • Data engineering/data management, to better scale our solutions across, with a holistic view on data pipelines

  • Management and automation of lab hardware and robotics to integrate our labs with the digital space

  • UX Design and UX thinking, to better integrate our solutions with existing best practices

We are not expecting a single candidate to fill all these but instead we are looking for a pair of complementary candidates that best strengthen our team. The candidates should also bring the right mindset to succeed in the position which could include the following outlook and experience:

  • Interest in learning about topics outside your expertise

  • Proactive and looking for new ways to apply digital technologies to support science
