About the role:
An opportunity has arisen in the Central Specimen Reception (CSR) Department for a part time permanent technical assistant in our friendly and dynamic team.
The main duties involve the receipt and processing of pathology request forms and specimens, and general administrative duties in a very busy work environment.
This is a shift work position, with occasional overnight shifts. With an emphasis on a team approach, this position is suitable for an enthusiastic and hardworking person who has a strong attention to detail.
Your work will have a direct impact on patient outcomes, allowing you to make a meaningful contribution to community health, all while enjoying a healthy work-life balance in a vibrant city.

Selection Criteria
Personal integrity and demonstrated commitment to the Philosophy, Mission and Values of Mary Aikenhead Ministries and St Vincent’s Health Australia.
Demonstrated qualifications and/or experience in relevant area of pathology.
Highly developed oral and written communication skills and effective interpersonal skills
Strong customer focus with excellent service skills and telephone etiquette.
Accurate and timely data entry skills.
Ability to prioritise tasks and work under pressure.
Ability to work unsupervised and to multi-tasks.
Demonstrated attention to detail.
