Serves as a Compliance Risk Officer for Independent Compliance Risk Management (ICRM)’s Testing team, responsible for assessing compliance risks and controls implemented by the first and second lines of defense. The role involves performing risk assessments of Citi's compliance risks, conducting independent testing activities to evaluate the design and effectiveness of key controls, and ensuring these controls appropriately address compliance risks. Additional responsibilities include reporting and escalating any control issues or policy breaches, as well as validating the adequacy of remediation taken to address these issues.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement compliance testing and reporting programs according to the Compliance Testing (CT) Plan.
Participate in planning, executing, and reporting compliance reviews and regulatory issue validation.
Analyze and document findings, and discuss results with corresponding control owners.
Assist with Compliance Testing Risk Assessments, and enhance auditing and monitoring methodologies.
Utilize data analytics to enhance compliance testing efficiency and value.
Build effective relationships with the CT function, stakeholders, and Internal Audit.
Share industry best practices with CT teams and escalate significant compliance matters.
Assess risks and drive compliance while safeguarding Citigroup’s reputation and assets.
Qualifications:
6-10 years of experience in compliance testing or auditing.
Proficiency in auditing principles, risk assessments, and compliance testing practices.
Knowledge of relevant rules, laws, and regulations.
Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills, with an ability to sustain independent views.
Experience working effectively in complex, large-scale organizations.
Excellent communication, writing, and project management abilities.
Proficiency in MS Office and strong analytical skills.
Self-starter, adaptable, and effective both independently and as part of a team.
