The Red Hat Enterprise Applications team is seeking a Technical Lead Software Engineer who will guide the technical direction by making architectural decisions, overseeing code quality, mentoring junior developers, and collaborating with other stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of software solutions. You will essentially act as a bridge between technical aspects and project management while remaining hands-on with coding tasks. One major project currently in flight will be implementing Sales Performance Management (SPM) in the OneStream product suite using solid .NET, MS SQL Server skills.

What you will do:

  • Serve as the technical lead, building proofs of concept (POCs) with a natural curiosity and openness to learning
  • Navigate and work effectively with a range of skillsets and backgrounds across development teams and stakeholders
  • Provide training and mentorship to developers
  • Listen to and influence stakeholders and leadership on project requirements
  • Foster team trust, confidence, and positive energy, showing empathy toward others’ concerns
  • Implement SPM in OneStream, including business rules, forms, workflows, cube views, member formulas, relational database objects, dashboards, and functional blending
  • Architect and design solutions, scope development tasks, and size tickets/user stories
  • Enforce best practices in SDLC and coding to optimize performance and scalability
  • Build secure integrations and automations, including data transformations via APIs on large datasets
  • Prepare test cases, perform unit testing, and validate results with admin or business users
  • Ensure compliance with SOX, business controls, and IT change management processes
  • Communicate technical issues and solutions to colleagues and customers with varying technical backgrounds
  • Provide support, including creating and maintaining technical documentation and support procedures for applications and systems

What you will bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field; 10+ years of experience in Windows .NET Applications (web and cloud technologies)
  • 8+ years of experience working with financial data
  • 5+ years of experience leading software projects, working closely with senior leadership, sizing work, and meeting tight deadlines
  • 2+ years of experience mentoring developers
  • 3+ years of experience in Agile development methodologies
  • 5+ years of experience with VB.NET or C#
  • 5+ years of experience with SQL and MS SQL Server databases
  • 3+ years of experience with automation processes, APIs, SFTP, and data security/management
  • 1-3 years of experience with Windows batch scripting
  • Proficiency in Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, and MS Office products

The salary range for this position is $142,140.00 - $234,500.00. Actual offer will be based on your qualifications.

Pay Transparency

Red Hat determines compensation based on several factors including but not limited to job location, experience, applicable skills and training, external market value, and internal pay equity. Annual salary is one component of Red Hat’s compensation package. This position may also be eligible for bonus, commission, and/or equity. For positions with Remote-US locations, the actual salary range for the position may differ based on location but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
