About the Role:

As a Lead Software Engineer at FindLaw, your responsibilities are to:

  • Collaborate with others efficiently and effectively to accomplish tasks on the desired timeline.

  • Learn and apply new business and technical concepts quickly.

  • Provide technical leadership to the team, ensuring design and architecture are aligned with the FindLaw strategy, standards, and best practices.

  • Participate in all aspects of the agile process from story creation through release.

  • Design, develop, test, and deliver application features that delight customers.

  • Contribute non-functional requirements to projects to achieve long term application health and stability.

  • Understand and apply current secure development practices.

  • Maintain an understanding of industry trends and use this knowledge to bring new innovative ideas to the group.

  • Support Production applications as needed to prevent service interruptions and maintain a high level of quality for our customers.

  • Communicate effectively in written and verbal form with colleagues and vendor representatives.

About You:

  • 10+ years professional software development experience with Java 8 or above with proficiency in lambda and Streams primarily

  • Knowledge and experience on application scalability, security, and monitoring technologies.

  • 3+ years of Managing and Leading a Agile delivery team.

  • 3+ years of experience in requirement gathering analysis and project delivery.

  • Strong knowledge Spring Boot/ Spring Cloud, Spring Security, Microservices

  • Experience with Git, Docker, and Jenkins, and familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.

  • Familiarity with ReSTful web services, NodeJS and Typescript used in Cloudflare workers.

  • Development experience with public-facing enterprise applications.

  • Strong analytical and debugging skills, and familiarity with common debugging tools like XDebug.

  • Experience writing and using automated unit tests to validate and maintain code quality.

  • Proven the ability to create, share status, and successfully deliver on a project plan.

  • Familiarity with one or more of the following: AWS, AI/LLM, Web UI, RESTful APIs, WordPress, and CDN.

  • Knowledge of CI/CD, release processes, and familiarity with tools like IaC, and GitHub Actions.

  • Ability to work across multiple geographic locations and cultures.
