We’re currently looking for a Production Engineering Co-Op Intern to join our Trim & Chassis team. The position will be located at the Smyrna Vehicle Assembly Plant in Smyrna, TN and will be a full-time role starting in

January 2025 - December 2025.

During the course of your internship, you will have the chance to:

*Assist Engineers in the development of new assembly sequence and operator work instructions during  production trials by performing audits and subsequent documentation revisions as needed.

*Assist Engineers in creation and validation of Quality Assurance Level documentation for Fastening Torque and Electrical Connections.

*Assist Engineers in ensuring Process Control Charts and Product Quality Assurance Charts are validated and maintained.

*Assist in data collection and trend tracking of critical measurement point data.

*Assist New and Current Model Engineers and Equipment Team Engineers in implementing production aides and equipment for manufacturing safety and ergonomics including drawing creation in AutoCAD/Inventor.

*Assist with association of Bill of Material to work instructions.

*Assist with part and process change management during production trials and launch.

*Assist in VR CAD studies.

*Assist with modeling and creation of 3D prints.

In order to qualify for this role, you must:

Currently be pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial or Mechatronics Engineering Preferred.

With a GPA of 2.75 or above.

Strong organization ability with keen attention to detail.

Be self-motivated and willing to challenge yourself to develop your talents and skillsets.

Strong communication skills both written and oral.
