Job Description
The Team Stewardship and Data Operations Leader combines both Data Operations and Stewardship Process Transformation. Responsibilities:
Data Operations Leader:
- Overall owns operations processes and management systems for data operations of the Walmart-P&G team, driving performance standards and improvements
- Owns deployment of standards and management system to Walmart team as applicable
- Resolve complex problems, building and improving procedures and facilitating communication
- Craft and document procedures, ensuring they are available in the Knowledge Database to improve overall data operations quality and process effectiveness
- Works back with central product teams in Data & Analytics to influence and optimize central procedures and supports for simplifications and improved data operations quality
System SME (Operations Champion)
- Subject matter expert for specific IT systems and processes supported by the Walmart Operations, Stewardship, and Product team
- Responsible to ensure those processes and systems are operating to expected standards and necessary business impact communications are in place
- Owns specific products used by the supported business area, lead vendors supporting the Walmart IT and Data Systems
- Interfacing with the Product Teams in Data & Analytics to drive user needs and Walmart strategy into their roadmaps
- Collaborate with other teams such as Application and Infrastructure and Platform Service Providers during the triage and resolution of incidents
Stewardship Leader:
- Own stewardship standards on Walmart-P&G business, partnering with P&G Corporate Information Security, Walmart-P&G system and application owners, and Walmart-P&G governance spocs
- Reapplies, designs and deploys processes and systems to ensure perfect stewardship on Walmart-P&G team
- Own data classification and asset inventory, focuses on the most critical information assets and critical business operations systems
- Ensure appropriate actions taken on Walmart-P&G teams to drive compliance with governance and stewardship standards
- Partner with Corporate Information Security to conduct Incident Response exercises in the OU to detect potential gaps and secure required interventions
- Engage with the Walmart Team Business Continuity Plan team to ensure Information Security is properly included and tested as part of Disaster Recovery drills
- Lead communication with the Walmart Team leadership team on Information Security incidents
- Drive process improvement partnering with Sales, Legal, Policy and IT to maximize team capacity while maintaining perfect stewardship
Job Qualifications
Required
- 3 to 5 years working experience in Data Operations or Data stewardship/information security roles
- Ability to apply critical thinking, problem solving, networking, and a sense of urgency to solve issues and incidents
- Excellent communication skills with business intuition and ability to understand business systems, versatility, and willingness to learn new technologies on the job
- Hands on experience with Data stewardship, or Information/Cyber Security
- Basic to Intermediate ITIL process knowledge
- Hands on experience with end-user visualization tools like Power BI
- Experience with leading team and/or hands one Project/Program management experience
Preferred
- Experience with Walmart Category advisorship
- Hands-on experience with the cloud computing and processes (Azure Stack, Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, CICD processes)
- Computer Science or Computer Engineering degree preferred
- Hands on experience with programming languages (like Python, PySpark, SQL)
- Understanding of Digital product management (PSPO)
