Job Description:
This job is responsible for driving accurate, complete, and timely delivery of data. Key responsibilities include working with business stakeholders and technology teams to direct commercial banking data management activities and ensure availability for use by appropriate consumers. Job expectations include managing execution within the enterprise data management standards, data quality, and control practices.
This Data Manager role will be a member of the ECATS Data Engineering & Strategy team supporting and leading a variety of functions including data engineering design, strategy, and support; program, project, and product management; researching and analyzing data requirements, issues, and integrations; influencing business and technology partners on tactical and strategic solutions, new technology engagements, and problem resolution. This position will be deeply involved in the success of the ECATS reporting, analytics, and data enablement strategy, GBAZ and GCW data platforms, EC BI reporting architecture and SWAT data analysis work and teams, as well as data integration for the Credit Sync application.
As the Data Manager you will:
• Indirectly and/or directly manage, lead, and influence business and technical partners to enable our current and future data solutions to deliver business needs
• Establish an integrated data strategy to support reporting, analytics, and data enablement capabilities
• Bring order to disparate systems, teams, requirements, and data through excellent organization and people skills
• Pivot quickly as business and technology needs evolve while continuously learning on-the-job
• Ensure compliance and sustainability with enterprise standards around product management, information security, and data governance and control.
• Be a story teller capable of delivering practical solutions and insights in a compelling manner actionable by senior leadership
• Demonstrate intellectual curiosity for connecting dots and solving difficult business problems
Responsibilities:
• Works with Line of Business partners, including Compliance, Audit, and Risk to understand needs and produce data solutions, often in partnership with Technology
• Identifies gaps in data management standards adherence and works with appropriate partners to develop plans for resolution, including recommendations so that relevant risk and compliance policies and standards are met
• Analyzes emerging needs for data to address risk, regulatory, or business enablement priorities and appropriately plans for interim and target state solutions within data management policies
• Monitors key performance indicators and internal controls in accordance with established thresholds, standards, and policies
• Developing close working relationships up, down, and across the ECATS team and our direct technology partners, as well as various Enterprise Credit and Global Banking business and technology teams and applications.
• Building and leveraging subject matter expertise and institutional knowledge of our processes, data, and technology.
• Managing varying degrees of leading and delegating tasks across teams, building and executing program, project, and product plans, and some hands on data analysis and research.

Required Qualifications:
• Knowledge of data management fundamentals and experience implementing data solutions that align to business strategies
• Strong program, project, and product management skills

• Excellent organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks to meet tight deadlines with high attention to detail
• Ability to lead and influence stakeholders across multiple levels and organizations

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and ability to simplify and summarize complex topics

Desired Qualifications:
• Knowledge of financial related processes and systems, preferably credit related
• Data analysis experience with some SQL and data querying skills
• Experience with various databases, reporting tools, and technology platforms including Oracle, SQL Server, Starburst, Alteryx, and Tableau
