About the role:

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled developer to join our team of Data engineers and Data Analysts working with Finance stakeholders.

As a Senior Python Developer,

  • Extract transform and loading data from various datasources which the Finance stakeholders will leverage to create reports.

  • You will be responsible to provide for designing, implementing, and maintaining sophisticated software solutions, leveraging your expertise in Python, SQL, and API integration.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop high-quality, scalable, and efficient software solutions using Python programming language.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, data scientists, and software engineers, to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.

  • Create and optimize SQL queries to extract, transform, and analyze data from various databases.

  • Develop and integrate RESTful APIs to facilitate data retrieval, communication between systems, and seamless integration with external services.

  • Ensure the performance, reliability, and security of software applications through thorough testing, code reviews, and continuous optimization.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues and bugs, investigating the root cause and implementing appropriate solutions.

  • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in Python development, SQL, and API integration.

  • Mentor and provide guidance to junior developers, sharing your expertise and helping them enhance their skills.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and deliver solutions that meet their needs efficiently and effectively.

  • Document technical specifications, code logic, and system architecture to facilitate knowledge sharing and maintenance.

Requirements:

  • Should have 6-8 years of experience. 4+ years of relevant experience.

  • Knowledge of SDLC process like requirement gathering, design, implementation (Coding), testing, deployment, and maintenance. Solid understanding of software development principles, design patterns, and best practices.

  • Proficient in requirement gathering and documentation.

  • Excellent communication skills – verbal and written.

  • Strong problem-solving skills.

  • Proven experience as a Senior Python Developer, working on complex projects and delivering high-quality software solutions.

  • Strong proficiency in Python programming language and its libraries for data manipulation, and testing.

  • In-depth knowledge and experience in SQL, including designing and optimizing complex queries, and working with relational databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle.

  • Experience in developing and consuming RESTful APIs, familiarity with API frameworks such as Flask or Django.

  • Proficiency in working with version control systems like Git.

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to quickly identify and resolve issues.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

  • Experience with Agile development methodologies.

  • Experience in Cloud Technologies.

  • Must have a positive attitude and desire to learn new processes and technologies.
