About Team: 

Enterprise Business Services is invested in building a compact, robust organization that includes service operations and technology solutions for Finance, People, Associate Digital Experience in Walmart.

What you'll do:

You will be part of a global engineering team that caters to time & attendance needs for all associates across the globe at Walmart. The team leverages/implements standard modules as well as builds custom developments that integrate with several systems meant for tracking time & attendance. The solutions developed could potentially enable millions of users achieve efficiency in their day to day processes and thus enable massive cost savings for Walmart.

Your Responsibility shall include:

• Publish and update technical architecture and user/process documentation.

• Architect,design, build and deploy cutting edge solutions at scale, impacting millions of customers.

• Drive Proof of Concept (POC) and Proof of Technology (POT) evaluations

• Work closely with the EMs and fellow architects to establish practices for the delivery of solutions meeting QCD (Quality, Cost & Delivery).

• Measure and improve Project/program performance, Operational performance and Portfolio performance using metrics/KPI’s. 

• Recommend improvements and drive alignment across teams

What you'll bring:

• 10+ years of experience in development of highly - scalable applications and platform development.

• Strong experience in managing large-scale SQL Server/Azure SQL and like databases in a production environment.

• In-depth knowledge of SQL Server/Azure SQL and like database's administration, including database design, installation, configuration, and maintenance.

• Proficiency in writing complex SQL queries, stored procedures, triggers, and functions.

• Experience in database performance tuning and optimization techniques

• Experience in microservices environment and its tools as such Docker & Kubernetes.

• Experience in Cassandra & NoSQL DBs will be a big plus.

• Proficient in problem solving and working with large scale systems.

• Hands on development skills to prototype technical solutions.

• Demonstrated ownership for design of one or more applications.

• Ability to adapt to change quickly, willingness to learn new and emerging technologies

• Awareness of Agile (Scrum) methodologies
