Our client, Vanguard, a global leader in investment management, is seeking a highly skilled Corporate Actions Manager to lead our European corporate actions team. As the regional lead, you will oversee all corporate actions processes across Europe, ensuring timely and accurate handling of events such as dividends, mergers, splits, and other corporate actions impacting portfolio valuations and investment strategies. This role requires a strategic leader who can balance operational excellence with a commitment to risk management and continuous improvement.

What you'll do: 

You will collaborate closely with global operations, portfolio management teams, and regional stakeholders to drive consistency, accuracy, and innovation in our corporate actions processes. Your responsibilities will include developing and implementing best practices, managing complex event resolutions, and ensuring that the corporate actions team aligns with Vanguard’s high standards of accuracy, timeliness, and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in corporate actions, proven leadership experience, and a strategic mindset to oversee regional operations while supporting the professional growth of team members. 

• Hire, evaluate, and supervise crew members, providing necessary guidance and training 

• Oversee process implementation for Corporate Actions ensuring global consistency 

• Consult and advise key stakeholders as a subject matter and technical expert 

• Identify and resolve complex operational issues while leading internal control framework improvements 

• Proactively identify and mitigate external events and regulatory changes impacting the team 

• Oversee performance of the service model for the team, driving improvements of financial and performance management reports 

• Collaborate with internal and external partners to support global operations 

• Assist the global process owner in creating workflow procedures and maintaining comprehensive documentation of current policies and procedure

What you bring: 

As the ideal candidate for this Fund & Investment Operations Manager role, you bring a wealth of experience from your minimum five years in finance or investment operations. Your educational background in accounting or finance, coupled with your CFA or other financial designation, equips you with the technical expertise required for this role. Your leadership skills are evident in your ability to manage teams effectively, setting performance standards and making informed compensation decisions. Your excellent problem-solving skills enable you to identify and resolve complex operational issues efficiently. Furthermore, your strong industry knowledge positions you perfectly for supporting relationship management. 

• Minimum of five years related work experience in finance or investment operations 

• Proven experience in Corporate Actions management within financial services or asset management. 

• Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience; Accounting or Finance degree preferred 

• CFA or other financial designation preferred 

• Strong ability to lead teams and manage performance 

• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve complex operational issues 

• Proven experience in overseeing process implementation for Corporate Actions 

• Strong industry knowledge with the ability to support relationship management
