Description

CI Technicians provide internal manufacturing capabilities for tooling and other production related hardware. Technicians receive designs from the engineering department and are responsible for planning, fabricating, testing, and delivering products that conform to the received designs. Some of the responsibilities to operate as a technician IV include; operation and maintenance of welding equipment, machining equipment and mechanical tools. Technicians read and interpret design prints and specifications, lift parts and materials up to 35lbs by hand, utilize cranes and lifting devices to transport heavier parts and materials. Technicians inspect and evaluate products with precision measurement tools and techniques, stand for extended periods of time and track and communicate project progress.

 

If hired, CI Technicians are required to complete all classes assigned by the section manager.

CI Technicians must interact with production and management employees in a professional and productive manner, working with multiple departments to provide solutions for continuous improvement opportunities. CI technicians will work together on larger projects and receive feedback on projects from shop floor personnel.

CI Technicians will be responsible for using computers and computer applications such as AutoCAD, Microsoft office, and Teams.

 

Basic Qualifications

  • At least six months of welding experience

  • One year of power tool experience

  • Must possess basic skills in Microsoft Office

Top Candidates Will Also Have:

  • One year of manufacturing assembly experience

  • Intermediate level of proficiency (Basic skills/knowledge. Capable of functioning independently) in manual milling and turning

  • At least one year of technical service area experience

  • Some experience in design software, such as AutoCAD, Pro E or SolidWorks

  • Intermediate proficiency (Basic skills/knowledge. Capable of functioning independently) in print reading and interpretation

  • Intermediate proficiency (Basic skills/knowledge. Capable of functioning independently) in recognizing or describing the mechanical functions and specifications of products and/or parts

  • Intermediate proficiency (Basic skills/knowledge. Capable of functioning independently) in verbal and written communication skills

  • Intermediate proficiency (Basic skills/knowledge. Capable of functioning independently) in the knowledge Standard Assembly tools and their applications

  • Further education (ex. apprenticeship program, trade certificate/diploma or degree from an accredited school or program)

  • Intermediate level of proficiency (Basic skills/knowledge. Capable of functioning independently) in MIG and TIG welding

  • Independent decision-making and problem solving to complete job tasks

  • Ability to multitask and prioritize work

Additional Information

Shift: 1st Shift

Hours: M-Th 6 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., Overtime MANDATORY as business needs require

Starting pay rate: $21.07

Work location: Clayton, NC
