As an experienced Equipment Coordinator your primary focus will be to provide in-field hands on day-to-day support to operations, ensuring the maximum availability and uptime of the vehicles and equipment. Your technical expertise and proficiency in vehicle and equipment systems will be an asset to our operations team. You’ll ensure safety and reliability of our fleet of vehicles and equipment is managed effectively. You’re a team player who ensures the well-being of others and lends a hand where needed.

Essential Responsibilities
- Supports Ledcor’s core values of safety, quality, integrity, sustainability and success
- Ensure equipment maintenance documentation is neat, concise, timely and follows Ledcor’s document flow process
- Work closely with the construction management team to ensure optimum utilization of fleet and manage third party rentals on the project
- Coordinate the mobilization and demobilization processes of vehicles and equipment
- Understand and become familiar with project scopes, key team members and vehicle and equipment needs
- To be the vehicle and equipment SME and be intimately knowledgeable of the local equipment used on the project
- Work with local suppliers to support operational needs with regards fleet up time
- Coordinate maintenance technicians in servicing and repairing of equipment
- Understands and is part of the process for payment of invoices through proper coding and issuing of purchase orders
- Proactively track, analyze and report on equipment performance and trends
- Effectively and efficiently plan ahead based on upcoming work and lessons learned
Qualifications
- Minimum 2+ years’ experience with fleet maintenance of vehicles and construction equipment
- Familiar with maintenance and work order practices
- Experience using MS Office, and an aptitude for learning various computer systems
- Familiarity of JD Edwards or equivalent, an asset
- Strong problem solving skills
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks and set priorities
- Capable of understanding and following written procedures
