We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Business Analyst to join our Product Development team at Prudential. You will partner with Journey Analysts, Product Owners, Tech Leads, Designers, Engineers, and Organizational Readiness partners to implement Group Insurance Products on each supporting system. You will act as an interface between the agile team and specific business areas, identifying business requirements, creating project and process specifications, coordinating with project teams, and ensuring adherence to schedules and budgets to solve sophisticated business problems, deploy innovative products, services, and experiences to delight our customers! In addition to applied analytical and technical experience, you will bring excellent problem solving, communication and collaboration skills, along with agile ways of working, strong business insight, an inclusive leadership attitude and a continuous learning focus to all that you do.

The current employee work arrangement for this position is dependent on the business preferences and your location, potentially requiring your on-site presence on occasion at a Prudential office.

What you can expect:

  • Working closely with the Product Owner ensuring the team is focused on the right priorities

  • Leading, mentoring and evaluating other Business Systems Analyst and Business Analysts

  • Support the CPO, Journey Analyst and Product Owner setting ambitious and clear product vision and communicating ‘the story’ effectively to key stakeholders and the rest of the team

  • Performing requirements analysis and interpreting and writing user stories/use cases, functional requirements, screen specs, mock ups, process flows and user specifications

  • Evaluating business processes, anticipating requirements, uncovering areas for improvement, and developing and implementing solutions

  • Leading ongoing reviews of business processes and developing optimization strategies and recommendations on how to improve the overall customer experience

  • Understanding and documenting data flows and the flow between complex, integrated systems

  • Facilitating meetings with Business Functional Teams, Development and QA Teams when gathering requirements or problem solving

  • Perform various testing and QA functions as necessary and lead User Acceptance Testing and User Training

  • Collaborate with product owners and cross-functional teams to understand business needs and defining feature stories, tech leads in defining technical design and other team members to understand the product end-to-end experience to deliver a solution that brings about business impact

  • Effectively communicating plans, progress, dependencies, and risks across cross-functional team members and leadership

  • Manage competing resources and priorities.

  • Monitoring deliverables and ensuring timely completion of projects.

  • Develop proficient to advanced skills with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook) and AGILE tools (JIRA, MIRO)

What you’ll need:

  • Group Insurance experience, or experience supporting Insurance products

  • 5+ years professional experience as a business systems analyst

  • Experience with agile development methodologies and Test-Driven Development (TDD)

  • Knowledge of business concepts, tools and processes that are needed for making sound decisions in the context of the product and company’s business

  • Applied experience with project management, planning, progress monitoring, and status reporting

  • Applied analytical and technical experience, excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills

  • Ability to influence and negotiate with key decision makers

  • Requirement documentation and facilitation

  • Data Analysis and data driven decision making experience

Note: Prudential is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The salary range for this role is from $115,800.00 to $172,300.00. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills. Roles may also be eligible for additional compensation and/or benefits. Eligibility to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance. In addition, employees are eligible for standard benefits package including paid time off, medical, dental and retirement.
