Position Overview:

The Provider Engagement Specialist I will be responsible for Tier I provider engagement and enrollment activities. This role will communicate with providers via outbound phone calls and e-mails to support enrollment and engagement activities across all Zelis products and services. This position will also be responsible for reviewing and understanding the data used for engagement activities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Encourage engagement and adoption of Zelis payment methods and services as required based on client contractual standards and business needs (i.e., EFT enrollment, Virtual Card and Patient Financial Engagement)
  • Communicate with providers via e-mail and phone calls to support enrollment and engagement activities
  • Inform providers of payer relationship with Zelis
  • Explain the benefit and value of utilizing the Zelis platform for applicable services, including Core payments, Member Payments, and Patient Financial Engagement Services
  • Assist providers in navigating through the portal to complete enrollment
  • Answer questions regarding the Zelis enrollment process
  • Communicate and encourage utilization of Zelis’ suite of best practices
  • Track all call activity via Salesforce
  • Open support tickets as needed via the JIRA platform
  • Create and track data via Excel workbooks as needed
  • Support and facilitate training webinars as needed

  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office programs including, but not limited to MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Exceptional relationship-building skills
  • Ability to train and present material
  • Strong typing skills with the ability to type a minimum of 40 wpm

Requirements

  • 1-2 years related call center/customer service experience
  • Previous financial services or healthcare services (insurance) experience is preferred
  • Previous experience in an outbound, sales or quota driven environment
  • Bilingual/Spanish a plus
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
