Description:

Senior Financial Analyst - Financial Planning

Step into the New-York Presbyterian hospital, in the mission-critical and growing Decision Support department.  As Sr. Financial Analyst, you will collaborate with a multi-disciplinary finance team to design, develop, analyze, and present detailed profit and loss analyses to the NYP Enterprise.  Using your knowledge of finance and your training on our cost accounting system (Strata), you will build and maintain revenue models which support senior leadership decision-making on strategic, capital and service line investments. Serve as a liaison between Decision Support and local hospital operational and service line leadership to foster continuous improvement to costing and revenue methodologies so that the best, most accurate and reliable information is reflected in the profit and loss reports. Under guidance from a designated project leader, assume responsibility for aspects of data management and end-user training, and collaborate with Information Technology and Analytics partners. Preferred Criteria

  • Proficient in Strata/EPSi, EPIC, Lawson
  • Proven proficiency in cost accounting design/methodology and previous experience in healthcare preferred but not required
  • Knowledgeable in maintaining health care decision support systems or SQL databases

Required Criteria

  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or other related discipline
  • Minimum of 3 years of related experience
  • Strong data and analytical skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
