The Associate Director, Supplier Diversity & Sustainability - Data and Analytics role is crucial in supporting the Strategic Sourcing & Procurement (SS&P) Global Diversity & Sustainability programs through data-driven insights and advanced analytics. This position aligns closely with the goals and objectives of BMS, ensuring that diversity and sustainability initiatives are effectively translated into actionable procurement-specific goals. The role involves close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, leveraging data to drive strategic decision-making and continuous improvement.

Major Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

Data Strategy & Analytics

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive data strategy to support Supplier Diversity & Sustainability initiatives.

  • Create and maintain dashboards and reports to track key metrics related to supplier diversity and sustainability.

  • Analyze procurement data to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for enhancing diversity and sustainability efforts.

  • Collaborate with the Business Intelligence & Analytics (BI&A) team to integrate predictive analytics into supplier diversity and sustainability planning.

  • Collaborate with ESG/Purpose team in support internal/external enterprise reporting & disclosures.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Partner with internal stakeholders, including Business Partnering & Category Strategy teams, to embed diversity and sustainability goals into procurement strategies.

  • Engage with external stakeholders such as regulatory bodies, government representatives, and industry organizations to ensure compliance and drive program improvements.

  • Participate in conferences, trade shows, and supplier roundtables to promote the organization’s diversity and sustainability efforts.

Program Management

  • Drive and monitor Supplier Diversity inclusion within the Source 2 Contract process.

  • Support the certification process for small and diverse suppliers, ensuring credentials are verified from relevant authorities.

  • Develop and implement governance frameworks to monitor progress against diversity and sustainability targets.
     

Continuous Improvement

  • Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the effectiveness of diversity and sustainability programs.

  • Foster a culture of innovation by leveraging external research, benchmarking, and best practices in procurement.

  • Drive the adoption of new technologies and tools to support data-driven decision-making in supplier diversity and sustainability.

Internal/External Stakeholders

  • Strategic Sourcing & Procurement (SS&P) organization

  • Members of industry councils and organizations

  • Corporate EOHSS & Government sales and government affairs teams as well as Global I&D 

  • Supplier and Non-Profit representatives

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

  • Minimum education of a B.S./B.A.

  • Minimum of seven (7) years of relevant business experience, with three (3) years of multi-disciplined procurement experience, preferably in a multinational environment.

  • Experience in developing and implementing supplier diversity and sustainability strategies.

  • Strong experience in data analysis, business intelligence, and reporting tools.

  • Proficiency in data reporting tools and predictive analytics.

  • Internal stakeholder management and project management skills.
