The incumbent’s main role & responsibility is a subject matter expert for Industrial Relations / Employee Relations and to assist the Head, Industrial Relations to build & maintain cordial relationship between the Bank and the unions.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
Responsible for the preparation & checking of documents for disciplinary procedure which includes show cause, termination, suspension, AWOL letters, notice & minutes of inquiry, drafting recommendation & follow up action.
Responsible for the preparation & updates of all monthly, quarterly reports.
Responsible for answering Industrial Relations / disciplinary related queries from HR Generalists & Line of Business.
Attend to matters referred to Industrial Relations Department / Industrial Court which includes completion of documents and also liaison with Bank's lawyers.
Responsible for administrative tasks in the team covering checking of leave status in HR System, physical filing, retrieval of documents/information and other administrative assignments.
Assist the Head of Industrial Relations to plan & review annual expenses budget, legal fees, contribution to union events, subscription payment and any other required expenses.
Assist the Head of Industrial Relations to partner with external parties i.e. lawyers, officials from HR Ministry, OSHA and external auditors.
Responsible for operational and technical support in the area of Occupational Safety & Health for the Bank.
Job Holder Requirements:
Education/Qualification
Degree in any discipline preferably in Law, Social Science, Psychology or Economics.
Experience
3 years in handling discipline, Industrial Relations in a unionized environment preferably familiar with Banking industry or having legal practice / exposure in a law firm on employment law.
Special Skills
Good human relations, emotional intelligence, ability to interact with different level of staff within the organization social fabric.
