Job Description:
Hitachi Rail is looking for an enthusiastic self-motivated Senior Project Planner who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate is comfortable performing a wide range of tasks from administrative to strategic. The position is based in Brisbane, Australia.
Key responsibilities:
Ensure Schedule development for bid preparation and provide planning tender documentation and cost estimation
Ensure the development of resource loaded overall master schedule and project detailed schedules are aligned with stated deliverables
Ensure the implementation of integrated planning processes and standards
Ensure the project Earned Value Analysis (EVA)
Earned Value Management (EVM).
Critical path analysis, S-curve and progress reporting
Program integrity checks and schedule risk analysis
Support Project Team in analysis of scope of work, definition of the work breakdown structure by implementing and optimizing project execution plans
Support planning team members to get desired outcome
Support Project Controller for the economical monitoring of project
Guarantee project reporting in a reliable and timely manner
Skills & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent
10+ years relevant experience of project planning and monitoring
Primavera P6 and MS Project
Project Management
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Experience of rail signalling, control systems and rolling stock is highly desirable
