Job Description:

The Compliance Business Systems Specialist shall be involved in different initiatives/projects and is expected to work with an array of project stakeholders. The candidate shall participate as a technical, functional, or agile resource and play a vital part in identifying business gaps and relevant solutions to close these gaps. This role is required to have strong knowledge of tools and methodologies surrounding project management, business analysis, and experience in handling systems. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivery of successful initiatives in a timely manner based on project objectives and success criteria.

  • Promoting and enabling a high degree of collaboration among Business SMEs and decision makers, the Business Transformation Office, the Project Management Office, and Information Services partners to ensure successful, quick delivery.

  • Production of high-quality business requirements including the collection, analysis, validation, and documentation of business users’ or stakeholder’s business needs

  • Identification and escalation of key risks, issues and dependencies, as well as cost benefit tradeoffs among a variety of options to align with overall project and program objective

  • Process modeling and analysis skills including but not limited to process improvements, gap analysis between current and future state along with root cause analysis

  • Accountable for effective change management within projects, in terms of ensuring that change to business requirements are effectively managed to reduce impact to projects

  • Assist business leads in defining short and long term needs to determine business priorities and advise on options


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Computer Science/Information Technology, Finance/Investments, or Legal Management

  • At least 5 years of solid business analysis or consultant experience preferably in Financial Services, ideally with Life Insurance background

  • Experience in Insurance operations-enabling integrated solutions

  • Knowledge in AML/ATF Requirements/Policies - sanctions screening, transactions monitoring 

  • Knowledgeable in best in class processes, tools and technology, as well as application of practical results-oriented approach to deliver value-adding solution

  • Understands and with ability to document and question inputs, outputs, business logic and flow of data and can identify dependencies and connectivity

  • Knowledge in Financial services/Insurance operations and products 

  • Knowledge in AML Risk Management tools and systems (e.g. Bridger, AML Manager)

  • Knowledge in SQL, or similar tools an advantage

  • Proficient in MS Office
