Caterpillar EAME Distribution Center of Excellence is looking towards the future and is developing the Digital capability of its dealer network in support of the Caterpillar Services Growth Strategy. We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Digital project manager who will be responsible to support the deployment of the full suite of Caterpillar’s world class digital solutions at EAME dealers. This role is also accountable to establish Digital deployments roadmap and develop Digital capabilities at dealers. The role requires both technical, business, and strategic understanding of EAME region to determine how Caterpillar Digital solutions can be best utilized to drive value to support Services Growth. This position is within the EAME Digital Operations group.

EAME Distribution’s mission is to deliver superior customer experience, profitable market leadership and services growth through industry-best distribution performance. We provide governance and administration of Cat® dealers across Europe, Africa, the Middle East, and Eurasia.

Responsibilities include:

  • Lead the integration and deployment of the full suite of Caterpillar systems and applications at EAME dealers

  • Use significant technical, project management and business knowledge to establish and govern Digital deployment projects at EAME dealers, in collaboration with District Offices, Center of Excellence Consultants and CatDigital.

  • Establish Digital deployments roadmap by dealer and support planning definition for each deployment (timeline, resources, skills…), in support of Caterpillar Services Growth Strategy

  • Drive appropriate engagement within various levels of the dealership and Caterpillar internal partners to understand the full suite of dealer capabilities and integration points needed for Digital deployments.

  • Act as both facilitator and liaison between EAME dealers and appropriate Caterpillar subject experts (CatDigital, Distribution Services and/or Industries groups)

  • Provide technical consultation to dealers implementing Caterpillar systems and applications

  • Act as a single point of contact for EAME dealers to resolve IT issues, confronts complex problems that require careful analysis and diagnosis and bring the necessary experts together to execute solutions.

  • Build and manage training and communication internally and within the dealers on Caterpillar systems and applications

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • University degree in Information Technology, Digital Technology, or related discipline

  • 8+ years of technical Digital experience, with successful track record of leading Digital/IT projects, especially in B2B industries

  • Strong project and program management experience including communication and change management planning/coaching

  • Effective ability to understand business needs and to translate them into IT requirements.

  • Strong, proven interpersonal skills including public presentation proficiency and ability to earn trust and credibility with senior dealer management teams

  • Proven experience of working with people from different backgrounds and cultures, and the ability to influence and resolve differences and issues.

  • Exceptional ability to adapt quickly to high velocity and change.

  • Proficiency in English

  • Communication skills (both written and verbal) including the ability to partner and build relationships

Skill Descriptors

Data Gathering and Reporting: Knowledge of tools, techniques and processes for gathering and reporting data; ability to practice them in a particular department or division of a company.
 

Implementation: Knowledge of how to run applications for organizations; ability to implement application software within an organization and help end-users perform specific tasks (ex: accounting or graphic design).

IT Project Management: Knowledge of project management; ability to plan, organize, monitor and control IT projects using appropriate technical resources.
