Position Details
The Purchasing Manager has a highly visible and critical role within our organization. This position will lead a team of Buyers, and has the responsibility of ensuring that the right materials are ordered from the right suppliers and delivered to the right place, at the right time, in the right amount. This leader will interface directly with the Director of Supply Chain Operations, Warehouse Managers, and other internal stakeholder groups.
Responsibilities:
Establish, implement, and maintain purchasing policies, procedures, and best practices.
Ensure compliance with purchasing policies and procedures.
Establish and maintain an approved/preferred supplier list.
Ensures proper staffing, development, and maintaining an effective workforce.
Achieves stretch goals by coaching/ teaching, establishing metrics, and developing mechanisms that will drive change and process improvements.
Drives Productivity by actively engaging stakeholders to both understand and eliminate barriers.
Communicates key learnings and best practices to multiple layers throughout the network.
Responsible for resolving customer issues, internal and external, that have originated in their department.
Coordinates activities with other departments either internal or external (suppliers, transportation, and 3PL partners).
Qualifications:
College degree in Business, Supply Chain, Materials Management, or related field.
Minimum 5 years experience in Purchasing.
Minimum of 5-7 years supervisory experience and training required.
Strong communication skills including written, verbal, and presenting to leadership.
Strong leadership, management skills/experience with both exempt and non-exempt associates.
Strong experience with MS Office, especially Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
Decision Quality & Problem Solving through innovation, creative thinking, challenging the status quo, questioning nature.
Customer Focus, accountability, and the ability to overcome obstacles.
Conflict Management and the use of influencing and adaptability skills (i.e., relationship building, consensus building, flexibility).
Experience in the telecom industry strongly preferred.

Tilson leads with integrity around pay transparency; as part of the compensation plan for this position you can expect a pay range of:
