Overview

The Sr. Fulfillment Manager is responsible for building a team of high performing Managers and Supervisors in a fast-paced fulfillment environment. This role is responsible for delivering and executing daily and short term plans to achieve operational and business objectives. 

Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple Fulfillment Managers, Fulfillment Supervisors, Warehouse Leads and up to 100+ full-time/temporary workers in a fast-paced fulfillment center
  • Build and manage a relationship with customers by maintaining regular communication and partnership
  • Plan, monitor, and execute staffing schedules and adjust as needed to ensure proper staffing levels that support operational demands and business objectives
  • Manage inbound/outbound loading and unloading of trucks while maintaining warehouse organization and inventory accuracy
  • May oversee pick/pack operations, VAS and production lines, contract packaging, inventory, quality, etc., as well as any other functional areas to support the needs of the customers in the fulfillment center
  • Maintain productivity, customer service, and safety standards on a daily basis
  • Provide superior customer service and maintain professional and courteous relations with strategic partners
  • Promote constant and measurable improvement; teach and enforce SCLS’ Quality Policy at all times
  • Train, coach, mentor, and develop staff to achieve business objectives while providing career developing opportunities; conduct performance reviews
  • Manage revenue and expenses within budget; manage and track key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Communicate to operations staff in areas such as: objectives, policies, procedures, safety methods, practices, programs, etc.
  • Manage multiple system requirements in an automated facility

Qualifications

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field strongly preferred
  • Must have at least 10 years of leadership experience preferably in a fulfillment operation or distribution environment; Prior supervisory experience in a fulfillment operation is preferred
  • Must have experience with an Order Management System, Warehouse Management System, and/or Labor Management System.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Ability to adjust strategy on the fly while functioning in a high-stress environment in order to obtain operational goals
  • Ability to understand the life cycle of the fulfillment business and how it pertains to each unique customer
  • Ability to build a cohesive team that exemplifies SCLS’ values and operates to support SCLS’ mission statement
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills
  • Ability to identify and understand problems, challenges, and opportunities by analyzing and comparing data to reach a proper conclusion
  • Ability and passion to deliver excellent customer service and develop mutually benefiting relationships with all partners
  • Ability to influence change management and operational performance from areas outside of his/her direct control
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to plan, organize, and manage multiple projects and set priorities
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of Managers, Clients and general public
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret policies and contracts
