Duties and Responsibilities:

· Ensuring exceptional customer service is provided in a courteous manner to maintain our reputation for friendly, effective, and personalized experience.

· To assist in the directing and supervising of all produce staff to secure efficient and courteous customer service;

· To assist in the set-up of the department by assisting in the effective merchandising of produce through attractive and appealing displays, occasionally assisting in the creation of effective planograms;

· To write and receive produce orders, check invoices, unload and distribute merchandise accordingly;

· To fill, rotate and maintain displays ensuring the quality of produce meets company standards;

· To assist in the training of new staff;

· To solve any customer/employee complaints or problems while left in charge of the department;

· To perform other duties, as assigned.

The Ideal Candidate Would Possess:

· Exceptional customer service skills

· The ideal candidate must possess a minimum of 3 years’ produce experience in a retail produce environment, with good knowledge of greens, fresh fruits, the salad bar, and bulk foods

· Previous management experience a definite asset;

· Flexibility to work a variety of hours including days, evenings and weekends;

· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, under pressure;

· Excellent organization, communication and interpersonal skills.
