The DEG (DRAM Engineering Group) Competitive Analysis team is a central team that is dedicated solely to competitive analysis through collaboration with DE (Design), PE (Product Engineering), and TD (Technology Development) across company! This role is critical in evaluating and benchmarking the design strategies of competitor DRAM products including Compute, Mobile, Graphic and HBM, providing insights and recommendations that will help drive our product innovation and strategic decision. The ideal candidate will posses a strong background and knowledge in DRAM design, coupled with the ability to analyze and interpret complex technical data (both physical and electrical data) from competitor products.
Key Responsibilities:
Gather and interpret data from various sources, including technical papers, patents, market reports, and physical chip analysis.
Analyze the design and architecture of competitor DRAM products, focusing on aspects such as speed, power, and array efficiency break-down.
Conduct circuit reverse engineering and detailed analysis of competitor DRAM to extract key design strategies and innovations.
Collaborate with internal engineering to understand internal product issues and technology challenges; comparing that to what we learn from competition DRAM and identifying strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities.
Prepare detailed technical reports and presentations that summarize competitive analysis findings
Stay ahead of the latest advancements in DRAM design and process
Develop competitive scenarios and analyze their potential impact on the company’s DRAM design strategy
Qualifications:
BS & 8+ years or MS & 5+ years of Professional Experience in DRAM design, semiconductor design or a related technical field.
Strong knowledge of DRAM architecture, circuit design, layout, and specifications is highly preferred
Proven ability to analyze complex technical data and translate it into actionable insights.
Working knowledge in DRAM process and CMOS
Self-motivated and enthusiastic
