Job Summary:

Lead a global engineering team to manage the supply risk of semiconductors used in the manufacturing of electronic components.

What You Will Do:

• Identify industry risk trends and incorporate into supply resiliency strategies.

• Utilize multiple data platforms and technologies for gathering and analyzing business data.

• Within Power BI, perform supply chain data analytics and define key performance indicators for assessing the state of the supply chain.

• Document business requirements for a web applications and Power BI team to develop and implement processes for supply chain risk monitoring, communication, and analytics.

• Maintain accurate muti-tier mapping of electronic suppliers’ semiconductors to components and CAT machine and engine products.

• Collaborate with diverse engineering technology teams to ensure bill-of-materials and forecast volumes are accurate. • Advise and review the design, test, and validation of alternate semiconductor devices.

• Represent the engineering team in supply resiliency initiatives that includes purchasing (RISM) and strategic procurement and planning (SPPD) teams.

• Collaborate with external suppliers at multiple echelons in the supply chain.

• Ensure conformance of supply resiliency actions required as part of electronics standard NPI process.

• Report on project statuses to multiple levels of management.

Education Requirement:

4-year Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Engineering

Project Management:

• Provides input for Gantt or PERT charts or their equivalent to track project progress and status.

• Under guidance, plans and estimates simple projects.

• Assists in detailed project plans including cost, schedule, and resource requirements.

• Obtains information from stakeholders during the planning stage of a project.

• Produces standard project status reports.

Electronics Engineering - HTH:

• Interprets alternative interfaces between hardware and software and associated requirements and considerations.

• Advises on matching methodology, materials and tools to the electronic product that is being built.

• Consults on engineering multiple electronic circuits, components or devices.

• Identify and approve multi-sourcing alternates considering multiple electronic design applications

Supplier Management - MFG:

• Follows procedures in carrying out routine supplier management tasks.

• Uses electronic systems or tools to record/retrieve supplier information and carry out transactions with suppliers.

• Resolves routine supplier issues; escalates non-routine issues up chain of command.

• Researches alternative vendors or suppliers; participates in supplier selection.

• Works with suppliers to ensure that purchases meet delivery date and quality specifications.

Additional Information

The location for this position is Mossville, IL or Woodridge, IL.

Relocation assistance is not available for this position. Any relocation costs incurred would be the responsibility of the selected candidate.

This position may require up to 20% travel.
