The Software Engineering Manager demonstrates accountability for functional, business and broad company objectives. In the role, you will be responsible for leading the Software development team which designs CT Medical Devices in GE Healthcare. And also as RTE handle the releases of CT products.
In this role, you will utilize your cadence knowledge, experience and technical expertise to solve problems, develop and execute objectives for self and others, and help contribute and influence business strategy.
Roles and Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
• Be responsible for managing the work deliverables of the cadence software
• Build a world class software development team to consistently deliver complex software platforms and research projects of varying size and duration.
• Provide day to day work direction for team members engaged in projects and delivery.
• Drive a continuous learning culture to help guide continuous improvements.
• Actively pursue new methods and practices to increase productivity
• Utilize project management tools to track progress and recognize key risk areas for specific implementations
• Operate as a engaged leader who serves as a subject matter and technical expert for assigned programs and development initiatives
• Manage couple of small agile scrum teams (up to 15 direct reports).
• Manage multiple software projects and play RTE role for the BLR CT cadence
• Demonstrate leadership through team leadership/knowledge in platforming components
• Provides mentoring, coaching, feedback and developmental opportunities to direct reports
• Demonstrate an ability to communicate the technical knowledge through project management/contributions to product strategy.
• Act as the thought leader and help shape the roadmap for the team effectively
• Prepare and present program execution reports to leadership
• Review technical design and interfaces to effectively drive the cadence feature development to closure
• Collaborate with systems, hardware and software teams across other poles within CT Software to drive synergy and closure of the cadence features
