Focus of the Role
The primary function of this role is to lead engagements with internal tenants on a custom-built platform, which enables self-service development and deployment of API integrations across the organisation using a combination of the WSO2 Micro Integrator product and the Ballerina language. This includes helping teams onboard to the platform, assisting them with training and solution design, and engaging with the vendor as necessary. This role will also be expected to contribute to the platform DevOps, assisting the team with platform development and support

What You’ll Do

•Translate the needs and requirements of users, and assess suitability of the platform for those requirements.
•Provide users with development and architecture advice on solutions using the WSO2 Micro Integrator product and the Ballerina language
•Assist with onboarding of new users to the platform, including providing and facilitating adhoc training and support of tools, including CI/CD tooling used by users to deploy to the platform
•Drive the team’s tenant engagement in conjunction with the produce owner, contributing to good practice and stakeholder management
•Diagnose and restore platform faults and issues, both as BAU during working hours and during out of hours when rostered for recall
•Contribute to the development of the platform, providing input and feedback on feature development and enhancements
•Development work on tenant onboarding APIs using a combination of the Ballerina language and Typescript, under guidance of platform lead
About You
•6+ years of experience working with WSO2 Micro Integrator and Ballerina products, or similar integration products
•6+ years of experience delivering API integration solutions for a variety of usecases
•Demonstratable experience supporting critical applications or platforms in a cloud based Kubernetes environment, including responding to critical incidents on recall out of hours in a solo capacity
•Experience and familiarity with modern CI/CD tools such as Gitlab or alternatives
•General knowledge and understanding of network concepts, e.g. firewalls and DNS
Highly desirable
•Understanding of Agile ways of working.
•Hands-on experience in approved & planned maintenance changes.
•Specific experience with WSO2 Micro Integrator and/or Ballerina language
•Experience working with Gitlab CI
•Hands on experience with AWS environments
•Experience working with the following tools used in the DevOps toolchain: Gitlab CI, Helm, ArgoCD
