JR62015 Associate Software Engineer

Roles & responsibilities:

 

·         You will work closely with multiple teams that make up IT, Information security, and Technology to drive impactful change.

·         Ensure that the potential impact of Infrastructure & software deployment changes is well understood, using data to support understanding of upstream and downstream dependencies.

·         Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams for end-to-end testing and performance analysis of real-time data applications, solve issues, proactively identify new opportunities, and drive initiatives through to completion.

·         Prepares and obtains approval for system and programming documentation.

·         Recommends changes in development, maintenance, and system standards and trains users in conversion and implementation of system.

·         Basic knowledge of Data Centre and Infrastructure components like Servers, Storage, Network and Load Balancer.

·         Good Understanding of various Operating Systems, Virtualization, Networking, and Firewall.

·         Basic knowledge of Could Technologies AWS, Azure, and GCP.

·         Basic understanding of RDBMS(Database) or Server Infrastructure area or SaaS applications

·         Knowledge of at least one scripting knowledge (Power shell preferred)

·         Basic networking concepts and OSI model

·         Knowledge of Switching and routing protocols like EIGRP, BGP, IS-IS, OSPF, HSRP, LACP, SSO, RPR and along with VLAN, STP, RSTP, VTP, MST protocols is desired.

·         Understanding of TCP/IP and troubleshooting of Network Connectivity.

·         Install, configure, support, and maintain Operational tools and Operations.

·         Alerts/task handling skills by using tools like HP NNMI, Cisco Prime, NetScout, Livenx, and Net brain monitoring tools.

·         Create tickets for the critical alerts which have been escalated to TechOps and update the ticket with the appropriate information.

·         Follow the procedure as per the wiki/instructions provided and check with the TechOps Team for any clarifications or doubts.

·         Strong potential research, investigation, and evaluation skills, with a structured approach to problem-solving. Analyze and troubleshoot systems issues.

·         Work with customers to gather requirements, propose, engineer, and provision solutions.

·         Responsible to provide day-to-day support for the Automation tools (built in-house, release automation, and other tools including RPA (Robotic Process Automation) tools.

·         Project execution towards deadlines Maintain OLA and SLA agreements with other Micron Business Units

·         Perform the Environment changes with the RFC schedule and planning.

·         Understand IT Service Management process and are willing to learn.

·         Willing to adapt and learn new technologies to provide efficient operations support.

·         Learn the different monitoring tools used and triage issues based on the issues faced.

·         Good communication skills (verbal, written, presentation), Analytical, and Problem-solving skills.

·         Flexible to work on rotational shifts in a 24x7 environment and weekend On-Call support if reqd. Follow the best practices and proactively handle the infrastructure availability 24x7x365.

·         Shadowing senior team members, asking questions, and assisting wherever possible.

·         Enthusiastic to learn new technologies and hardworking in nature.

·         Participate in meetings and attend workshops and other training initiatives.

·         Passionate and accountable for the environment you will be responsible.

·         Able to handle the customers and work with cross-functional teams over voice/email/chat.
