Responsibilities:

Tencent Games Business Development team is focused on strategic partnerships and investment initiatives, building upon our reputation in the gaming industry and our Tencent platform as we expand on our gaming ecosystem globally. We are growing our market focused team and looking for an experienced game industry professional to join the team, and help execute Tencent Games’ long-term success in the region. This role will focus on building long term partnerships and sourcing investment opportunities in the South Korea. You will be exposed to top gaming studios and have the opportunity to learn from experienced industry professionals ranging from game production experts to seasoned investment and strategy professionals.

In this role you have the opportunity to: 

  • Source and execute strategic partnerships and investment initiatives within innovative AA and AAA gaming companies in South Korea.
  • Build and develop senior-level relationships with game developers and publishers from PC, console and mobile gaming space as well as other key ecosystem players to build investment pipeline and source strategic partnership opportunities
  • Monitor and progress chase internal deal pipeline
  • Work on market research and market intelligence to provide recommendations to management team;
  • Negotiate complex agreements while working cross-functionally internally with management, finance, legal, and product teams.
  • Prepare and present proposals to internal management teams

Requirements:

  • At least bachelor’s degree, 3 years+ experience in business development, partnerships, consulting, investment, business analysis, or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent in communication, expanding networks and maintaining strong relationships, externally and internally;
  • Solid knowledge of gaming and contents industries;
  • Familiar with fast-paced environment and strong time-management skills;
  • Bilingual in Mandarin and Korean or English and Korean is a must
  • Familiar with equity investment and post-deal management.
