TaskUS is looking for a highly motivated, inquisitive, and enthusiastic leader to lead Financial Reporting.

This role will serve as a key Financial Reporting and Technical Accounting resource within the Company and is responsible for ensuring timely and accurate reporting to the SEC and other external constituents and conducting accounting research, including preparing memos and position papers, for a variety of technical accounting matters affecting the Company. This position will work across the Finance organization as well as with other key constituents such as accounting, tax, FP&A, legal, investor relations, human resources, corporate communications and other business partners. 

Responsibilities (Overview)

External Reporting

  • Own the Company's regulatory financial reporting process, including SEC filings (10-K, 10-Q, etc.) and review of the XBRL process, and other financial and governmental statutory reporting as required.

  • Collaborate with internal and external legal counsel, investor relations and other business partners to support 8-K, proxy statement and other SEC filings

  • Guide the preparation of financial statements, footnote disclosures, and management discussion and analysis (MD&A) in support of the Company's SEC reporting requirements.

  • Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual financial presentations for senior leadership and audit committee.

  • Work closely with Investor Relations to help create quarterly earnings releases including the management and proper function of Disclosure Committee controls / procedures

  • Develop and maintain proper internal controls regarding the collection / dissemination of external data including the management and proper function of Disclosure Committee controls / procedures

  • Prepare supporting schedules, documentation, and other information to support future annual audit and quarterly reviews with external auditors

  • Coordinate with international businesses and their statutory filings, liaise with key areas in finance for impacts on external reporting, and communicate financial results and updates to key stakeholders within the organization


Technical Accounting

  • Participate in month/quarter/year-end close activities including complex accounting calculations and entries, equity accounting, lease accounting, financial statement consolidations, intercompany reconciliations, elimination entries, transfer pricing entries, and revaluations.

  • Support the internal and external quarterly and annual review/audit engagements.

  • Monitor and evaluate proposed accounting standards and SEC rule changes.  Research, interpret, and implement technical accounting guidance to external reporting; translate technical knowledge into operational actions that align to business strategy

  • Prepare technical accounting memos and other documentation related to conclusions or treatment of accounting matters / transactions.

  • Partner with business leaders to anticipate issues, provide technical guidance, and suggest alternatives that mitigate risk

Core Capabilities

  • Highly detail oriented in the application of financial accounting and reporting concepts ensuring financial and business integrity and regulatory compliance

  • Thorough knowledge of US GAAP; current with new technical accounting standards

  • Highly proficient in a broad spectrum of accounting standards including overseeing technical reviews, ensure compliance, and provide guidance to internal/external stakeholders 

  • Keep informed and actively monitor accounting standards and SEC rules development that may impact the business’ financial reporting and disclosures and leads the business on implementing the necessary changes

  • Coach, mentor, and train the team; take an active interest in their growth and develop the next generation of leaders.

Experience/Credentials

  • 8+ years of recent accounting and financial reporting experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, or Finance

  • 5+ years of demonstrated experience with SEC reporting responsibilities with a public US company

  • Active CPA designation or equivalent certification

  • Strong technical accounting background with a thorough knowledge of US GAAP

  • Demonstrated experience with SEC reporting at a public US company
