As a Strategic Services Sales Executive, your focus will be to assist the brokers with referral requests for quotation regarding strategic services core offerings, prospect for new customers, facilitate and assist with the closing process. You are the acting liaison between brokers and customers. This position reports directly to the Director of Strategic Services.

Job Duties:

  • Cold calling; making multiple outbound calls to prospects; however most time spent connecting with brokers to facilitate the referral process for Strategic Services core service offerings, closing sales and working with the prospect and broker through the closing process
  • Creating and maintaining a list/database of prospects and their information
  • Maintaining meaningful relationships with any landed customers to ensure they are being retained
  • Collaborating with Sales Managers, Director of Strategic Services and Leadership to secure, retain and grow accounts
  • Conduct daily check calls and customer updates as needed (this may vary by broker and customer)
  • Help assist with any claims taken on customers you have landed
  • Reviewing customers’ feedback and implementing necessary changes
  • Negotiating with customers and or prospects to secure the most attractive prices
  • Equipping brokers with the necessary information and details to be successful with their new customers
  • Assist with invoicing and AP process as needed
  • Attending prospect and customer visits as required

Job Requirements:

Basic:

  • High school degree or GED
  • 1-3 years experience with Freight Forwarding processes and sales efforts
  • Experience with lead generation and prospect management
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently or as an active member of the team
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office
