The Sr. Manager, Crisis Response & Business Continuity will take primary responsibility for TTD’s crisis readiness & response frameworks and business continuity efforts. Reporting to the Senior Director, Global Security & Resilience, this individual will work cross functionally across the business to build, implement, test, and continually improve TTD’s ability to effectively respond to and recover from major events impacting people, places, and operations.

What You’ll Do 

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive and integrated crisis response framework: Take an all-hazards approach to the design, development, and maintenance of an enterprise-level crisis response framework that facilitates quick and accurate decision making at all levels of the business and in a “polycrisis” environment. Work with business units and regional offices to ensure plans are aligned across the organization. Partner with key stakeholders, including but not limited to People, Workplace Services, Legal, IT, and Communications.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive and integrated business continuity program (excluding platforms): Build a program that prepares TTD to recover from major business interruptions. Conduct risk & impact assessments to identify and risk-rank critical areas of operation. Align recovery time and recovery point objectives with data-driven decision making. Where appropriate, assist IT Security function in business continuity efforts for TTD commercial platforms.
  • Focus on readiness and preparedness through regular testing: Design and execute regular tabletop simulations, executive exercises, and other testing to continually pressure-test plans and ensure key stakeholders are clear on crisis management and business continuity roles & responsibilities. Develop ongoing assessment/scorecard that tracks readiness and supports improvement.
  • Respond to and manage critical events: Support identified crisis management teams and crisis leaders in execution of crisis response framework, acting as a subject matter expert and coordinator. Liaise with Global Security & Resilience leadership, executive and regional leadership, and other business leaders as threats emerge. Support transition from crisis response to business recovery, acting as subject matter expert and coordinator.
  • Drive continuous improvement and innovation: Identify opportunities for improvement through analysis of testing and post-event follow up, viewing crisis management and business continuity plans as living documents that continually evolve with the needs of the business. Stay informed on emerging trends and best practices in the industry through benchmarking and networking with industry peers and other thought leaders.
  • Leverage technology and data-driven decision making: Identify and use industry-leading technology to enable data-driven insights into emerging threats, timely dissemination of critical decision-making intelligence, and emergency communication to employees.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders: This includes fostering collaboration with internal departments, government and non-government agencies, emergency responders, regulatory bodies, and community partners.

Who You Are

  • Minimum of 10+ years of experience in senior-level crisis management and business continuity roles
  • Proven track record of success in developing and implementing comprehensive crisis management and business continuity programs and initiatives
  • Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills
  • You have outstanding interpersonal and creative problem-solving skills, that help you influence and work well with others at all levels of the organization, including executives.
  • Ability to work under pressure and make sound decisions in time-sensitive situations
  • You have proficiency in technology systems relevant to crisis management & business continuity.
  • Must be able to travel domestic/international as needed.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in security management, business administration, or a related field a plus

The actual amount may differ based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and location. All employees may be eligible to become The Trade Desk shareholders through eligibility for stock-based compensation grants, which are awarded to employees based on company and individual performance. The Trade Desk also offers other compensation depending on the role such as sales-based incentives and commissions. At the Trade Desk, Base Salary is one part of our competitive total compensation and benefits package and is determined using a salary range. The base salary range for this role is
$112,600$206,500 USD
